It's a complete money trap

It's a complete money trap; you think you're getting a trial membership for a reasonable fee, but canceling your subscription is harder than flying a plane.

I signed up, and when I saw that there were no decent rental listings inside, I wanted to cancel my membership. However, the cancellation feature didn't work. After that, I stopped using the portal.

Less than a month later, they tried to charge my bank account. Since I had already been trying to cancel, I didn't make the payment, thinking that perhaps my membership would be terminated this way. But I wasn't aware that I was dealing with people who have no business ethics.

Because I didn't make the payment, I was notified via email about a collection attempt. I had finally found a channel to communicate, so in my reply to the email, I stated that I had never used the service, that I had tried multiple times to cancel my membership, and that I couldn't do so because the website was not functioning properly.

Following this, I managed to get my membership canceled manually, but with a small catch: apparently, I was required to give one month's notice to cancel! I had already been trying to cancel for two months.

As a result, I am being forced to pay nearly €100 for a piece of software that I never used and that, as a software developer, I find to be a complete failure.

We offer a 14-day trial period. If you do not cancel your subscription within this period, your subscription will be automatically renewed.

There are two ways to cancel your subscription: via your profile on the website or by sending us an email so that we can process it for you. For a monthly subscription, you have a notice period of one month (This is also clearly stated in the agreement).

We are sorry that you have had this experience and would like to get in touch with you to find a suitable solution. Customer satisfaction is extremely important to us, and we would like to find a solution with you.

Scammers-Avoid it!

This page is completely useless. It doesn't even help you find what you're looking for. After the free trial, cancelling is impossible, and they threaten you with a £50 charge and legal action. Disgusting!

Scammers.

I started a trial, cancelled it and suddenly I’m receiving threats for “legal action” over £50. This is a scam, don’t use. Waste of time and doesn’t even show you places to rent around your area properly. I’d pay the £50 if I got the chance to use the website. You won’t get any money from me.

Honestly what a waste of time . SCAMMERS

Honestly what a waste of time. Totally crap. Just leads you around in circles , I cancelled my account within 14 days and got charged anyways , No way to contact customer service. Basically just a scam ,

They claim below that they can be reached by email at their support at renturgent.com. This is untrue . The emails just bounce back, do not be fooled by their replies . This is a total scam .

Its a scam website! People, please avoid this website at all cost.
First and foremost, they lure you to register via a free trial and the adverts have ridiculously cheap houses.
Now when you register, you wil struggle to get access to the site and then they will start charging you and threatening you with court cases.

LET ME MAKE THIS CLEAR:

1. THEY DO NOT DO WHAT THEY SAY THEY DO. THEY DIRECT YOU TO OTHER SITES TO FIND HOUSES.
2. THEY WILL NOT LET YOU CANCEL YOUR SUBSCRIPTION AS YOUR ACCOUNT IS RESTRICTED UNTIL YOU INCUR CHARGES.
3. THEY WILL THREATEN YOU WITH COURT CASES EVEN WHEN YOU DON'T USE THE SERVICE THEY ARE NOT EVEN OFFERING. IF I WANTED TO GO TO ZOOPLA AND ONTHEMARKET I WOULD DO THAT ON MY OWN!!!!!!

Persistent payment althought subscription is already cancelled

After joining RentUrgent and paying £29.99 a month, I discovered that their listings were simply aggregated from other sources like Gumtree and Zoopla. I decided to cancel my subscription through RentUrgent’s website, but despite my efforts, they charged me for a second month without any warning. I immediately blocked my card to prevent further charges. However, RentUrgent then threatened legal action against me for non-payment. This feels like a scam designed to trap me into paying even when I want to cancel my subscription.

Using RentUrgent, I got several viewing invitations for flats in London. However, the pressure to respond quickly was intense, and I missed a couple of opportunities. Still I eventually secured a wonderful home.
