Rent Street's basic service was excellent for meeting my needs for advertising a rental property in Melbourne via realestate.com.au and domain.com.au and finding suitable tenants. Placing and editing advertisement, notifications, liasing with prospective tenants and notifying unsuccessful applicants was intuitive and easy to use. My one emailed query was answered within a couple of hours. The service was price competitive.

I have just had the worst possible dealings with this company. My feedback is to at least pretend to be a professional, business savvy company and teach your staff what we used to call customer service, and ask them to communicate in a professional way as well. I should have realised from the start something was wrong when the first txt message says.

“We communicate via texts only. Please do not call me.”

I then stupidly provided all required information (even a photo) most of which was illegal.

Then as replying by txt with all information requested I got this response.
“How are you going to afford the rent?”

Then after asking for a possible negotiation of the rent based on real average rents for this exact room, I then got this response which was the last straw.
“Go negotiate with someone else. Bye”

Really? Who would not take offence to this comment.

I manage a number of properties for our family and I always use Rent Street to find the right tenants as they cover all the major property sites. The web page is super easy to navigate and find all the available options.

I had a genuinely great experience with Rent Street. The level of personal service they provided is hard to find these days — it really stood out. They were flexible and understanding with a few issues I had, which made a big difference at the time. Everything was handled professionally, calmly, and with real care. Highly recommend.

The website is easy to navigate and the notifications are good (you get sms and email notifications). It also has online application functions for prospective applicants. On changing the status of the ad to 'leased' it also gives you the option of notifying unsuccessful applicants so it's a one stop shop type of website.

Thanks guys, after being messed around for over 5 months with our outgoing tenant, we received lots of interest with the property exposure that Rent St offered. With 30 enquiries and multiple applications, thank again Rent St for a successful outcome!

I'm pleased with the service overall, and I'll use it again in the future. This is my second time using it . Convinient and Privacy protected. ☺️

Cheap easy solution to renting your house. You get all of the advertising that you get from the real estate agents at a lower price.

Having used Rent Street a few times now I am still very happy with the price, the service and the results. The site is user friendly and any queries are always responded to in a timely and polite manner.
I will continue to use Rent Street in the future.

This is the third time I've used Rent St. Previously it was excellent - 5 stars - but this time two features did not work for me: 1 - the application form has switched to the one provided by realestate.com.au, which is fine except a few applicants did not receive the form, despite several attempts. 2 - the group email notifying applicants the property is leased and no longer available did not work for me. Even so, this is a great service. Thank you Rent St for enabling me to manage my rental myself.

It was great to be able to set up and make periodic updates to a rental property listing from a central place. Compared to other options it was also very economical. I would definitely use this service again!

I'm not sure why, but emails from rent street tended to go into junk mail; so I'm not sure if people sending enquiries were able to find the link to the application easily enough.

Great service and very competitie price. I used this service and got tentant in the past and this time as well i sucedded. Highly recommending this tool for any agent/landlord.

I used Rent Street again and had the same experience. I always receive a reply if I have a query. The ads go live quickly and I get notified about all enquiries and applications. Great experience!

I was unsure at first, so I read reviews and emailed Rent St. I received a reply from a real person. Eventually I went ahead and pretty soon I was given the opportunity to load my ad I changed it whenever I wanted.
