Ordered a used engine and never…

Ordered a used engine and never received what I paid for. I ordered a 2011 Volkswagen GTI engine. That arrived to my mechanic damaged so was sent back. They then ship a higher mileage 2008 engine instead as a replacement. And basically said take it or leave it. Different generation engine clearly not compatible. They forced me to pay 540 return shipping and 25% restock fee. For their mistake. They dragged the issue out so long. It’s too late to dispute with the bank. So buyer beware with this company. Its policies are there to screw the customer. There are multiple reports on bbb as well. Engine was $3,300. I was left with $1900 after it all and no engine. Garage dropped the job and I had to pay all the time it was stored there because of this company refusing to do right for the customer.
Their customer service department is a joke. They put you on hold and claim it’s your fault that wrong engine was ordered. The supervisor there basically said only way I’d see all of my money back is by taking them to court. Clearly not his first rodeo. Pretty much kept pointing the blame on me ordering incorrectly, but I ordered a 2011 not a 2008.
This company hides under multiple names. (Car parts planet) is one of them.
Update: 12/11/24 Not a single resolution given since then. As well as this review is still valid and for “reman-engine.com”. You can keep fighting my review trying to state it’s for the wrong business. We both know the truth.

Do NOT use these people. Selling garbage and lying about it.

This company is absolutely not transparent about the used engine you are buying at all. They tell you they test engines at their warehouse before shipping it to you. My motor came directly out of LKQ junkyard. They do not test motors before they ship. The motor I "supposedly" purchased was a low mileage. (22k) The motor that I got looked to have much more than that. Asked them for invoice proof of where the motor came from and all they could do is send me pictures of the vehicle they claim the engine was out off of an auction website. Customer service is absolutely not helpful in any step of the process. Warranty process is a joke and they will not honor anything on the engine. Asked them how to return engine because I was not happy with the quality of it and no one could tell me how to do that. Got stuck with trash engine.

Complete scam

Complete scam. Their website claims to have over a thousand good reviews on Trustpilot. A customer bought an engine they said had around 20K but was knocking and looked to have over 100K based on wear.
