Contractors beware!

This company is a scam. I guarantee the positive reviews are fake. We started with them in February doing have warranty work. First they will only approve the cheapest way to temporarily correct an issue. And they do not pay, yes you heard that correctly. They will not pay. We were told today that in the terms of the contract is a clause that they can withhold payment for a year if our average cost is higher than others in our area. Every single job we did for their customers was authorized. I believe they have cash flow issues. They have satisfied customers from our work, not a single complaint. And they will not pay. Homeowners, plenty of other warranty companies you can choose. Stay away from these guys.

Great system to work with

Hi, my name is Joanna with Melly The Contractor, I’ve been working with Rely Home for a couple years and it’s been great! We get a high percentage of approvals. the app/ portal is great and fast within minutes we receive approvals no need to for calls requests to give diagnosis requests are submitted right in their app so, no need to stay on the phone with reps for a long time having to wait for approvals they are received within minutes. Vendor relations are so nice and easy to contact I have all positive feedback back for Rely Home.

This company steals from contractors…

This company steals from contractors also. we had provided a lot of work for this company Home Insurance policy holders, at the beginning we thought, well maybe it was just a small mistake, we will get our invoices paid eventually but not really, after months of waiting for payments and trying to talk someone about it. We had a small conversation with some lady that called us in "private mode" when we ask for a customer service phone # to call in case we need to, she got mad and hanged up on us. Couple weeks some checks finally arrived but not with the completed amount of what was owned to us. So contractors & homeowners just be aware that this company is not a company you can trust.

Stay away!

Stay away! Choice Home Warranty (apparently a subsidiary of Relyhome) is scamming vendors and customers alike, it seems. After filing a claim with Choice for some plumbing work in December 2025, a vendor was dispatched by Choice for the service call. The necessary repairs were confirmed as being within our coverage limits and his work was authorized. (I know this vendor to be honest and reliable because he has serviced our home for other repairs that were not associated with any claim filed with Choice.) Today, I got an apologetic invoice from the vendor, explaining that Choice had not paid him for his services at our place in December and that, unfortunately, we were now responsible for the outstanding charges. When I spoke with the vendor this afternoon to ask about this, I overheard him on the phone arguing vigorously with a representative from Relyhome over the surprisingly large debt owed to the vendor, due to the warranty company's refusal to pay for numerous repair services that Relyhome authorized him to carry out but now refuses to pay for. Clearly, our case is part of a much larger pattern of contract violations perpetrated against vendors for repair work the warranty company authorized but never paid for. The vendors are left with no choice but to bill the customer for the services they rendered. And so, now under threat of liens by the vendor, the customer is forced to pay for the repairs out-of-pocket that were supposed to be covered by the premiums we pay to warranty companies like Choice.

We're not wealthy. We're a single income household supporting two children and burdened with enormous medical debts. We paid Choice Home Warranty a big lump sum a while back for a longterm contract that was supposed to give us coverage for inevitable home repairs. So we can't just stop doing business with Choice; they have our money already. So when the warranty companies don't pay their vendors, families like ours are on the hook for both the repair bills AND the big premium we paid for coverage. This is a classic case of a big business screwing both its own customers AND the local small business service providers whom they're obligated to compensate for the work authorized by Relyhome's warranty companies like Choice. What good is insurance like a home warranty if the company refuses to pay for the legitimate claims and repairs that they authorize?

I'm no lawyer. But if I were one, I'd be talking to customers like me and the home repair vendors, explaining how a class-action lawsuit works, and how the courts can impose punitive damages on home warranty companies like Choice for perpetrating the kind of frauds that we're experiencing. If they won't listen to the complaints of their customers and their vendors, maybe they'll listen to costly litigations leveled against them.

And speaking of frauds, I'm very skeptical of all the 5-star reviews I find here. After all, it's way cheaper to pay online liars to write fake rave review than it is to pay the small businesses that actually do the work of fixing our homes.

Terrible Vendor Support and Warranty

From a vendor this company is terrible. We can not call to speak with a live person. The invoices and our invoices do not match because they take service call fees out which they do not pay. They seem to be able to set the payment terms which is odd because we can not call our vendors and tell them we will pay the in 45 days! They want all the work done but don’t want to pay in a timely manner. We will no longer be a vendor Rely or Choice Home Warranty due to pour practices. I have no idea how a lot of these companies an afford to do multiple jobs a day and allowing another company to rack up charges and hope they get paid.
