I can highly recommend Redwood renewables for additional battery storage for our PV energy system.

Many thanks to Patrick Hawkes MD and his Redwood renewables team. They provided the most competitive quote to supply and install two additional Fox ESS EP11 batteries plus junction box at our home in Suffolk. Before the sale, Patrick helped check our current and emerging power needs including installation of an Air Source Heat Pump (ASHP), plus provided advice about settings to discharge during peak hours should we wish to do so. Installation only took a few hours and the installer cleaned up plus checked I was happy before leaving. Following payment of the final invoice, Patrick supplied an MCS certificate and a 10 year FoxPlus warranty.

I’m delighted with the install and price. We’re glad we’ve transitioned to a low-carbon lifestyle with Patrick and Redwood renewables’ support. It’s a great feeling to know we’re doing our bit for our precious environment, plus we’re less vulnerable to energy price volatility going forward. I can highly recommend the Redwood renewables team and would use them again.

We had our solar installed in September 2025. Excellent installers. System works great.
But it did take them a while to sort out the paperwork, no idea why. We do, finally, now have everything sorted April 2026.
Hopefully they will get this administrative issue sorted because the system is excellent & runs beautifully. The installation was seamless & the installers worked very hard to put it all in place swiftly & with care.

Had a really positive experience with Redwood for our solar and battery installation. The whole process was smooth and well managed with a quick turnaround, and we’re very happy with the final system all working.

Patrick and Rory were excellent throughout. Communication was stellar, and they were always quick to respond to questions, even outside normal hours. It made a big difference and gave us a lot of confidence.

The installation team were professional, polite, and did a good job leaving things tidy. Overall, the system looks great and is performing as expected.

We did have a last-minute change with the panels supplied compared to what was originally quoted, but Patrick handled it well, explained the situation clearly, and gave us options. We felt supported throughout and the issue seemed outside of their control.

Overall, I’d definitely recommend to anyone. Great service, strong communication, and a solid installation at a competitive price.

We recently had solar panels installed by Redwood Renewables and were genuinely impressed throughout the whole process. From the initial consultation right through to completion, Patrick was attentive and thorough — he took time to understand our specific situation and gave clear, considered advice at every stage rather than a one-size-fits-all approach.

The electrical team, led by Rory, were excellent. They worked efficiently, kept everything tidy, and clearly knew what they were doing. We felt in good hands throughout.

Even the scaffolding team — often an afterthought — were courteous and professional, and left the property in good order.

Overall a well-coordinated job with strong communication across the board. We wouldn't hesitate to recommend Redwood Renewables to anyone considering solar

Placed an order for a solar battery on Feb 27th with a promise of delivery and installation March 9th 2026.
I had no communication from them to confirm even though I messaged them in various platforms, 9th came but they didn’t.
I messaged them saying I would leave a very negative review, he answered immediately stating a new date on March 11th and a £100 reimbursement, I agreed to that and asked for a time, no reply.
Again several messages until he replied with an 11.00am delivery, I was sceptical about this and 10.30am he phoned and stated they would be 3 hours late🧐
The electrician eventually arrived and completed the work.
It then took me a week to get the £100 reimbursement, terrible company and service.

Excellent service, smooth process, and great results. Highly recommended.

We recently had two EP12 batteries installed by Redwood Renewables to go alongside our solar panels, and once again the experience was excellent.

Patrick explained everything clearly beforehand and the installation itself was done quickly and without any issues. There were no problems at all on the day, and everything was left neat and tidy once the work was finished.

We were shown exactly how the batteries work and how to monitor them, which was really reassuring. Since having them installed, we’ve already noticed the benefits and it’s great knowing we’re making better use of the energy we generate.

Just like with our original solar installation, the whole process was smooth, professional, and stress-free. I would highly recommend Redwood Renewables to anyone considering battery storage and solar panels.

I recently had an EP12 battery system installed and couldn’t be happier with the service. The installation was completed in just one day, and I received the handover package and MCS certification the same week.

Patrick was incredibly helpful, taking the time to explain how everything works in a clear and reassuring way.

I have had a similar experience to the other poster. I paid £3240 in October and have had repeated cancellations for my installation. I have asked for a refund and have had no money returned to me and the company do not return phone calls and repeatedly fob me off with excuses that turn out to be untrue. DO NOT USE THIS COMPANY.

So glad I checked the reviews (actualy only one. Quite hair-raising. As a result, I have cancelled the scheduled appointment with them.

Thought I would use and support a local company, oh how I wish I hadn’t. 14 panels, 2 fox batteries and a Zappi car charger quoted £10,900 which was far off the cheapest quote but fell for salesman Wills speel about how neat, safe and good the equipment would be. I live with two young children so safety was paramount.
Like a fool I paid the £2,000 deposit then when they said it was completed (wasn’t living in the house at the time) paid £8,800.
Moved into the house July car charger would not charge from solar, batteries would not charge from solar and what the solar was making was going straight to grid which I couldn’t get paid for as no completion certificates. Bird proofing missing on some sides and where it was there huge gaps that pigeons got through.
They advised me after visiting that issue is with Zappi and I need to contact them as they had installed it correctly. So you spend 10.8k and they expect the customer to contact their supplier!!.
It became obvious they really have no clue and after checking companies house my thoughts were backed up. New company three directors and no other staff…..one is HR professional, one a salesman and one an and I use the word loosely a commercial electrician.
Had another company come to see why only the solar is working, he put the CT clamp in the correct place and Zappi now works perfect, sent a drone up to inspect panels and wiring is not clipped and wires now chaffing on the tiles, lots more bird proofing missing on main roof, armoured outside has no earth shielding and DB board is like spaghetti, bare cables mm from buzz bar.
I have been advised to switch off and isolate everything. It is not only unsafe but is dangerous.
I have advised Will and Patrick of the findings and sent pictures and nothing apart from them saying not their responsibility as someone else has been here. The guy only moved a CT clamp so I could charge my car after they failed to show up to resolve other issues.
Now having to go down the legal route as not fit for purpose.
If you have had any solar put in by these guys please get it checked by someone for safety.
