Dorothy really helped me when I lost my mum. Her kind nature and professional side being a celebrant, really gave me comfort and I actually smiled throughmy sad time.
The service was just how my mum had wanted it.
Sadly, she was on end of life, so we spoke about her funeral.
Dorothy delivered everything mum and the family had planned, in such a beautiful way.
Thank you Dorothy for being the person who was there for me.
You also listened when I needed someone to talk to.

Dorothy was empathetic, kind and professional in all of my dealings with her.
She truly cares.
One of the best out there in my opinion.

Despite receiving the programme and wording for the funeral with the time and date. Dorothy put the date wrong in her diary and didn’t turn up so there was no celebrant at the funeral. The funeral director’s young assistant busked it. She did well but none of it went to plan. In my job if that was me I’d expect to be sacked. A disaster on a hugely important day.

As a Funeral Director I have access to many Celebrants, and Dorothy simply outshines them all. I never hesitate in recommending her to our clients. Her services are truly unique, tailored to the individual. Many celebrants start with a basic template and their services can be generic, predictable and quite impersonal, but Red Rose Ceremonies are ALWAYS are reflection of the persons character. My husband passed away and we wanted his funeral service to be special. We are not a religious family and did not want a service with hymns and bible readings etc. our funeral director recommended Dorothy from Red Rose Ceremonies. Dorothy is such a lovely lady. She came round to the house and it was like having a chat with an old friend. I’m not sure how she did it but my 3 children and myself just talked about our personal memories of our lives with my husband. She went away and somehow put together a service that was a celebration of his life. Dorothy made it so special.we can’t thank her enough for making a very sad time easier to bare. I would highly recommend Dorothy’s to anyone wanting a personal none traditional service.Thank you Dorothy for the service booklets you made for me and my children to keep as a reminder of the day.
