The platform has been taken over by a…

The platform has been taken over by a number of “Career moderators,” user moderators who have been inadvertently granted control over so many major subreddits that if you incur their wrath they can effectively ban you off the platform even if your account hasn’t broken any rules

Additionally reddits systems are set up in a way to allow moderators to circumvent the rules of the platform while making users at the mercy of them, for example a user to report a mod mail message must use an off platform help service to file a “Code of conduct” claim which is different to a report for breaking Reddit rules and is not actioned on, meanwhile a moderator to report you in the same message only needs to use a drop down box on Reddit itself that reddits AI admin will immediately action on against you

I have personally had antisemitic hate given to me via a moderator mail which Reddit has done nothing about yet in another case when I appealed a subreddit ban I got a 7 day suspension for “harassment” with Reddit saying the harassment was the act of filing an appeal as it constituted “harassment” on technicality of being a message from my account to theirs

On another occasion on a major help subreddit I provided an answer which helped the OP, the OP thanked me then moments later my comment got deleted for “Moderator discretion” and the same comment got posted by another user who was then given the award for helping, I checked the name and what a surprise it turned out the user was a moderator

Note it is easy for people to dismiss all criticism of Reddit as Far Right people upset yet I am neither far right nor a “leftie,” I hold no love for ideological fanaticism, my review is aimed at calling out Reddit for using these empowered community moderators as a way to neglect their responsibilities as a major social media platform in the same way the likes of Elon Musk uses AI to avoid having to take responsibility for X, by letting these moderators do as they please Reddit can pretend that it is enforcing its rules and national laws while in actuality doing nothing which is saving themselves vast sums of money they would have had to spent to engage in content moderation

Leftist Third Reich.

Leftist Third Reich.
Worst site on the internet. Because of heavy censorship you can be banned from the whole site just b/c you disagree with some subforum moderators.

Arrogant

Arrogant. I attempted to use the site and just found it be a very unsatisfactory exercise. Nowhere near as good as bluesky. And reddit censor you - they decide what you can and what you can't post. Plus they also decide where. I couldn't even be bothered to try and find a way to post on Reddit. Site didn't particularly interest me anyway.

Reddit can be useful

Reddit can be useful, but using it feels like walking through a minefield. Every subreddit has its own rules, mods enforce them however they want, and posts get removed for reasons that barely make sense. You spend time writing something and it just disappears with a generic message.

Trying to promote anything or even talk about a product is painful. One wrong word and you’re flagged as spam. Karma gates, posting limits, shadow stuff you never get a clear answer on. It works if you already know the game, but for normal users it feels hostile and exhausting.

Absolute worst app ever

Absolute worst app ever! You can't disagree with the power tripping mods even if it's true or you get banned! If I say the sky is blue and the mods don't agree, banned! It's so ridiculous.

Horrible platform full of Doxxing

Horrible platform, Reddit is just as bad as 4Chan; teens & adults Doxxing any user they personally dont like. I've seen moderators who post a user's IP Address if they dislike a user enough. The user "DataKnight" loves to Dox users just so they can get a wealth of upvotes; DataKnight will literally comb the internet & then they will post screenshot of your address, Facebook, profile photos, career, etc & so on. The most insecure platform next to 4chan.

Reddit don’t like it when you disagree…

Reddit don’t like it when you disagree with racism, obviously you can only be a racist to be appreciated on this site. Absolutely shocking, they ban you if you stand up to the racist bullies. Complete joke of a site

They support criminal activity. They love it. Its why they built it. Awful awful awful company. Go on there if you want to be groomed or start a pump and dump scheme. Stay away if you don't want to do either.

Their moderators are beyond being rude!

I joined Reddit, made an innocuous remark and had it removed by the moderators because my account was “less than 7 days old”. I couldn’t believe it. I sent this message in return “forget it then” because I was annoyed by such a remark - and received exactly the same response.
What sort of social media platform asks people to join - then tells you that you cannot make a post until you have been with them for a week?
Their attitude of “you cannot join in until you have been with us for a week” is the most unwelcoming and rude that I have ever come across.
They know where they can stick their club….

Great if you love being censored by crazy narcs

I’ve lost count of how many account bans I’ve had and it’s not that I’m a bad person. These people hate the truth. The people who moderate are very controlling, and allow certain
narratives to be published. Lots of strange people hiding in the shadows for sure. Not all of the information that is on there honest and a lot of lies and backstabbing occurs on many channels. Take the info with a grain of salt if you will.

Reddit is a speech black hole

Reddit is a speech black hole. You aren’t allowed to say anything without it being some kind of violation. This website should be blacklisted by ad companies so it finally shuts down.
