We had an incredible experience with Recovery Divers. My phone had fallen to the bottom of the Amstel river, close to the Amstel bridge in Amsterdam. The diver arrived quickly and managed to find the phone in no time, even though the visibility was extremely poor.

What impressed me most was the level of care after the recovery: they provided us with a special drying bag including a moisture absorber to safely dry out the phone. On top of that, we got a QR code that played a specific sound to help remove any remaining water from the phone’s speakers.

This was pure service – thoughtful, professional, and incredibly helpful. I’m beyond grateful for how well we were supported. And the best part: we didn’t even have to go to a phone repair shop afterwards. Everything was taken care of. 100% worth the money!

Great experience from start to finish! They came to Leiden within an hour of calling. They found the phone within 15 minutes of diving in. Their experience and equipment made finding a black phone under 2 meters of water in lots of vegetation possible. They were super friendly and had many fun stories to share also. Highly recommended!

When I informed them that I had lost my wallet, they almost instantly responded and scheduled an appointment on the same day. The diver was professional and very skilled, she managed to retreive my wallet in under half an hour even though the canal was filthy and full of debris. Top!

My really deep thanks to Recovery Divers for helping me get my phone back! Dropped my phone in the canal at the Prins Hendrikkade and thought it was a goner as soon as I saw it tumble into the water but Marja from Recovery Divers turned up and saved the day, and recovered my phone in full working condition! So thankful to her and to the company. Marja’s determination made all the difference, and I can’t thank her and Recovery Divers enough.

The recovery divers were an absolute lifesaver! They responded to my email almost immediately and scheduled a time to come out all the way to Groningen to help me get my lost phone back. They were extremely nice and professional and I will be recommending their services to everyone I can!

Maya from recovery divers pulled off something impossible. I dropped my wedding ring in an Amsterdam canal by mistake at 4am. I was devastated. I had lost hope immediately and was reconciling my loss. My friends read up online and found that fire department had helped people. We called them but they refused to help. Same ensued with waternet canal service. We couldn’t reach anyone and there seemed to be no hope.

Then I found recovery divers in a search somehow. It was hard to find out about them but I thought I’ll text them in vain. I texted them, filled a form and slept. I got a call at 8am from this purest soul Maya. She was so kind in the first conversation itself. She told me that finding a ring is a very hard thing and estimated chances to be 50%. This was a really high chance for me and I asked her to take permissions from the authorities to dive. The cost was 200€ which is very less for the cost and permissions they had to take in order to be able to dive. She was a volunteer for this non-profit and this didn’t include any remuneration for her efforts.

2pm the same day, she was present at the site to attempt the dive. She was so kind from the very first moment, and set my expectations right. She came with all the diving gear and was ready to dive. She would have searched my ring for an hour for no remuneration at all, this just melted me inside. In her first attempt, she came out with the ring. This was impossible, absolutely impossible. In my head the chances were less than 1%, but she did it in 2 minutes.

She is the best European person I have met and will remember her forever. Can’t recommend them enough. Their success rate is 99%, I wish authorities recommend them to thousands of people like me who lose things in canals on a daily basis.

Betwen request and doing a fantastic Job were only a few Hours . Such a Professional friendly Woman dived for my fishing rod and found it within a des minutes i couldn‘t believe it and was so happy . I am Realy grateful that peoples Like you exist 🙏

I was able to contact the diver easily and organise a recovery for the very next morning which was absolutely great because I was leaving the country that afternoon.
Once the correct location in the canal was determined, my camera was recovered in about 2 minutes which was absolutely amazing.
Super friendly and great to deal with.
Hopefully I never need the service again but if I do, I will certainly use again and will definitely recommend to anyone else who drops something in an Amsterdam canal.
