Terrible waste of money on this driving instructor
Well where do I start. I chose this driving instructor because of the good reviews he had. I had so many lessons I’ve lost count. Spent a LOT of money. He charges £60 for 90 mins. However, in my experience it turned out to be a mistake. He uses stalling tactics to stop you from progressing. He’s obsessed with trivial matters such as driving over speed bumps perfectly so you can’t feel them even though the point of them is to slow down. He had to be asked multiple times after a LOT of lessons to show me how to parallel park. Is more interested in you booking more lessons and him getting the payment off you than you actually learning anything. I’m close to my test date and thanks to his stalling tactics had to rush to find a different driving instructor. When I questioned him about my concerns he read and ignored my message and then went on to his little app to delete all my progress, lessons etc. Any questions during lessons about progressing was met with “you need to book more lessons” I’m 2 months away from my test date and I hadn’t been on any test routes at all. Only one time did I drive to Lichfield and back where I was due to take my test but didn’t go to the centre. No it was to the Lidl car park. I found his teaching methods to be slow, his behaviour completely unprofessional and his lack of response to my concerns and deleting me from his app to be extremely rude. So yet another money grabbing instructor. He also liked to remind me often how if I wasn’t test ready I’d not be taken to the test and how he’s done this to other people. I’m extremely disappointed about the whole situation and feel like I was just putting money in the bin to be quite honest. The final nail in the coffin for me was when he decided to change my lesson time on his app without speaking with me first to see if this was okay or not. His response was simply you’ll have plenty of time to go and do what I needed to do that day which happened to be going to work. Doesn’t occur to him that his students also have a life and other commitments outside of driving lessons and seems to think he can do what he likes. For these reasons I’d not recommend this person. He will just take your money and not care about the fact that you’re there to learn.
