Beneficial for typing, reading, and spelling
We enjoy TTRS. I run in to some small issues here and there like the grades not syncing to the teacher account. There have been other small things, but usually their customer service helps out. Some issues might just be on my end. I wish on the dashboard for the student, they had all current courses they are taking (including My Courses) to make it more one-click easily accessible, especially for younger children. From the dashboard you can click on the “play button” and go straight to the TTRS course, we’d like the same for all other current courses. There are several ways to get to their other current courses but none as easy as the main TTRS course on the dashboard.

Touch-type Read and Spell is a phenomenal program. My son Chase, 10 years old, had the following review.
It is really good but can sometimes be frustrating. The way it is set up has helped me to type a little quicker. It can be frustrating because sometimes the text to speech bot says the words in a way I don't understand. I (Chase) would definitely recommend.

Really helped my teen to go from one finger typing to actually typing a number of words a minute. He’s improving consistently.
The program is sleek and doesn’t feel babyish or gamified which is really important for kids with delayed literacy.
A Program That Truly Works for My Kids
My children have made remarkable progress in their typing and spelling skills in just a few short months. The website is very user-friendly, with concise, straightforward lessons and is free from distracting videos or unnecessary games. The score at the end of each lesson has become a real source of pride for them, and they are constantly striving to earn a perfect 100%.
The most noticeable improvement has been in spelling for my youngest child, who has ADHD. He previously struggled with vowel sounds but can now distinguish them with ease. This growth has translated into greater confidence in his writing, and he has even begun “publishing” a series of comics written entirely in his own hand. I am beyond pleased with this program and the progress it has helped my children achieve

My children are improving each time…
My children are improving each time they take a typing lesson. It's great to see them work on their spelling at the same time, as well. The lessons are self-explanatory and they are able to navigate through the program independently, which is also a huge plus.

It is far to stressful and quick they need to make actual games like the games on sumdog. Sumdog is way better you really should look at that instead of this.

this app sucks
it is really hard for me to learn how to place my hands and learn to type with this stupid and unhelpful program. I would not recommend to kids with learning diffrences.

Awesome sauce typing program!
This program is greatly helpful to my autistic, adhd, dyslexic, dysgraphic kiddo. He used to fight me on typing, but now doesn't because he says this makes more sense to him then the other typing things. I love the fact that it incorporates the sounds along with the typing, kiddo says it makes spelling easier because he can hear the sounds. Though, im pretty sure hes just memorizing how the words look as they sound out lol. To be fair his spelling has gotten better as well as reading also.
The program has just been super helpful overall! Thanks so much!

Our family loves TTRS
Our family loves TTRS! We are a homeschool family with 4 boys ages 4-18. One of our boys struggled significantly with spelling because of dyslexia, but TTRS has brought him up multiple levels in his spelling and reading. We are beyond grateful for it and the confidence it has given all our kids that use it so far!

My kids want to type in their free time now
I love how open-and-go the program is and how straightforward the progression. It's very simple for my elementary students to complete on their own and they are making great progress. My students now type in their free time and craft amazing stories. They love knowing how to type! I'm so happy and excited to have this tool in our homeschool. I also enjoy the weekly reports to my email that show the exact details for each student so I can stay in the know. I highly recommend TTRS!
