Oh my goodness what a rubbish bank!
Please note everyone - close your accounts down and empty them. Take your money elsewhere, every other bank works more SIMPLY than RCI does. Changing your nominated bank SHOULD be possible via the app or web site. No PAPER FORMS needed or copies of statements or utility bills - UTTER and prohibitive NONSENSE.

I have been a saver with RCI for several years.
I now have several fixed rate accounts,quite small sums,but growing nicely.
My Freedom saver keeps my emergency money avaliable at quite a good rate.
For me,good communication & an easy to use website are important ,& RCI excel with both.

So far, as an 80 year old not great with online banking, I've had no problems. The interest rate seems quite competitive and access fairly simple. Speaking to an advisor I had to do once or twice initially was pretty quick, unlike the NS&I (where its impossible!)

Always very good interest rates. Good Bank to be with, no problems at all but if you fix for a time, it’s fixed, if you want access any time pick another account. I can recommend RCI Bank, I’ve been with RCI for a few years now 👍.

RCI Bank only look out for themselves and not their customers.
I have some money with RCI Bank in a 3 year fixed account. I have been thinking of getting a new car for some time as I have had my last car for the past 22 years and it’s 25 years old. It was park on my driveway and a car hit it causing a lot of damage. The recovery garage have had it for 10 weeks and are now saying it will probably be a right off and the payout will be £800. I have decided the best way forward will be a new car as I can’t go on any longer with my old one as it’s had its time. I have been considering buying a newer car for sometime and something similar to my old car for a long while and decided on a Volvo C90. I contacted RCI bank and and explained the situation and said I’m willing to pay a penalty for the release of some of my funds. They got back to me and said no. I wasn’t happy so went back to them and asked them a second time saying I wasn’t happy with their decision and I would like some of my money, they got back to me a week later and said no again. I still couldn’t understand why they had refused again and after several days decided to contact them and to plead with them, he listened but still said no saying the new car I wanted to buy is a bit of a luxury and I should get an old run around with the £800 right off insurance money. I said I wasn’t happy and want to speak with your manager, he said it was him that said no and he will only say no again, I asked again to speak with the manager, he put me on hold, got back to me saying we want your last 3 months bank statements from your main bank so they can see all of my in payments and out payments (which are personal to me) they also want documents from the insurance company from the ladies insurance who hit my car and they also want documentation from the company that I will be buying the new car from, and after I have done all of that he said it still might be a no.
RCI Bank are on a power trip with your money and they love it and only look out for themselves and not their customers

In deciding to remain with RCI and move my maturing bond into another fixed rate bond I couldn’t see any way of confirming I still want monthly interest. I hope the previous bond’s terms continue.
