Real relationships, both with the farms and our customers, are essential to Rare Tea. This is what we believe defines direct trade.
We focus on quality, sampling the finest and only selecting the best: our range is small but carefully chosen, seeking out tea-gardens and farmers crafting the most delicious leaves. We are extremely lucky and proud to work with unique farms producing extraordinary tea.
Some of our tea is very rare, with only a few kilos produced each year. Others can be grown on a larger scale. All of our tea is crafted by skilled men and women on independent farms, not industrially processed by large agribusinesses. We buy harvests from farmers, not a commodity from brokers.

A must for the conosseur
Henrietta is totally dedicate to tea, it's her life, her expertise, her passion. She has to offer world class, top grade, unique infusions impossible to find elsewhere. It's the "creme de la creme", so don't esitate if you are looking for something special, for yourself or a as gift. Highly recomended!

I love your products
I love your products. A few years ago I bragged to my friends that the best tea in the world was shipped to my house from London England. Unfortunately, I can no longer say that It comes directly from England but it is still the best tea in the world. Especially Rare Breakfast and RAF.

Quality with Purpose & Heart
Of course the tea is wonderful, but beyond that Henrietta is developing a successful movement that supports tea farmers and also teaches the world how to enjoy beautiful tea. The site is easy to navigate, it’s easy to find infusing advice (in both western and eastern styles), and the teawares are both delightful and functional. Just superb!

Ordered in November with DHL shipping…
Ordered in November with DHL shipping to Canada, they later said it would be impacted by the Canada Post strike and it was too late to offer a refund. There was no indication Canada post was involved in delivery when I ordered. It’s now January and I still haven’t received the item even though the strike has been over for almost a month

I'm really sorry that your order has been caught up in the Canada Post strike - it's caused havoc with nearly all of our shipments to Canada in November and December.
Regarding our statement on refunds, it is only that we could not do it whilst the parcel is still being held by a suspended postal service, because it will still be shipped to you when unsuspended.
We do strive to make all information available at the point of order, and DHL International Tracked is described at the checkout as:
"DHL parcel service with final mile by Canada Post, delivery in approximately 8 - 12 working days (tracked)."
This information is also included on our Delivery Information page, but we'll make sure to include this elsewhere if possible.
Whilst we appreciate the strike was called off on the 15th of December, there was still a backlog to clear, which is only exacerbated by the volume of the festive season. USPS (who clear the customs portion of the parcel between the US and Canada) only unsuspended their services on the 6th of January - this was communicated to you on the 3rd of January in an email update.
Finally, I am very happy to say that as of 12:01 PM CT yesterday, the parcel has started showing tracking updates and should be with you soon.
