Resting on its laurels
Resting on its laurels. Stayed at the Raphael Hotel, Paris in June 2022. Hotel was fine, but rooms a little tired. Administration was a significant let down, the restaurant was never open in the evening but none of the staff could advise if it was, the concierge saying it was but the restaurant staff saying it wasn't. We booked an all inclusive B&B package but the hotel tried to charge for breakfast, and city taxes despite the booking form from booking.com stating breakfast and taxes were included. No corrected bill was available when we checked out, and none sent by email despite confirming they would. Euro 87 taken from the preauthorisation after we returned home. Two reminder emails sent requesting refund and copy of bill but no response. Not what I'd expect from a hotel purporting to be 5 star, and the price we paid. Not recommended, nor would I stay there again.
