Wholly Inadequate Product & Disappointing Service
I purchased the Orthopaedic Memory Foam Dog Bed specifically for my senior dog who suffers from arthritis. Unfortunately, the product received is entirely unfit for this purpose. Despite being marketed as "orthopaedic," the mattress is a mere 6-7cm thick, flimsy and lacks any structural integrity; you can easily feel the floor through the foam with minimal pressure. For an arthritic animal, this provides zero therapeutic support and would pose a struggle for them to stand up from.
When I raised these concerns with Ralph&Co, I was told I must cover the return shipping costs myself. It is unacceptable to shift the financial burden of a return onto the customer when the product is fundamentally not fit for the purpose advertised.
I cannot recommend this company or their products to any pet owner looking for genuine quality.
While there may be no official standard for the specifications as to what can be classified as an 'orthopaedic' dog bed, I would hope a retailer would take some responsibility to provide a product that at least offers a reasonable level of thickness and support.

Regarding you mentioning the Consumer Rights Act and the bed being "unfit for purpose," we must respectfully disagree. Under UK law, a product is considered unfit for purpose if it has a manufacturing defect or fails to perform its basic function. Our Orthopaedic Memory Foam Dog Beds are engineered with high-density crumb memory foam design (that is clearly mentioned in the product description) to provide joint support by distributing weight evenly—a function they continue to perform for hundreds of our customers without issue.
It is also important to note that there are no legal or industry regulations in the UK that dictate a specific thickness or density for a product to be labelled "orthopaedic." The term refers to the pressure-relieving properties of the materials used, not a mandatory height requirement. While we understand you personally found the 7cm depth insufficient for your dog, the "feel" or "structural integrity" of a mattress is ultimately subjective. Because the bed was delivered exactly as described in our specifications and is free from any manufacturing faults, it does not meet the legal criteria for a "not fit for purpose" return.
As a small family run business, we maintain a consistent policy where return shipping costs for non-defective items are the responsibility of the buyer that is stated in our T&C's, Return Policy and our returns cards that are inside every order. We strive for full transparency in our product listings—including clear measurements—so that our customers can decide if a specific model is right for their pet’s needs before purchasing.

My dog loves his new bed so much, he has rarely felt safe enough and comfortable enough in previous beds so spent lots of time pacing. I can barely get him out of his new bed!

I recently purchased an orthopedic memory foam dog bed for my aging cocker spaniel.
He had been struggling to settle due to arthritic pain in his old bed and I had read that an orthopedic bed could help.
I am over the moon with how his product has improved his sleep quality and happiness. He settles much easier and sleeps through the night. I cannot recommend enough. The only problem is my cat has also taken a shine to it so they often end up sharing! Might have to invest in a second for him.

Luxury Memory Foam Crate Bed
I purchased the Luxury Memory Foam Crate Bed with removable covers in grey to go into an existing dog bed. It is lovely and cosy and gives a snug, soft but supportive bedding for our aging dog who has multiple issues with her legs as we want to make her twilight years as comfortable as possible. So far she is very impressed!

Perfection
Customer service is outstanding.
Bed and blanket really well made and super comfy, grey colour is gorgeous. Material is brilliant. Pricing was excellent too.
We got the XL for a Labrador and it’s perfect. My pup is very fussy and took to the bed straight away.
