I was recommended Quick Lane, Gorton to look at a slow puncture I had in my tyre. I was apprehensive and do not like visiting repair garages.
I must say I had exceptional service from Quick Lane, Gorton, where they looked at my tyre, saying they could easily repair the tyre without the need to purchase a new one. They even showed me where the tyre was damaged.
Cameron provided exceptional advice and guidance, explaining everything as he went along and was completely trustworthy and reliable.
I will definitely be using them again.

This place used to be good. I’ve used them for repairs and even a cam belt change. But my recent experience has put me off them.
I booked my 12 month service and MOT with Cameron and agreed to drop it off on Saturday morning. Saturday came and I went at the agreed time, only to be told the MOT tester had phoned sick. Fair enough, this can happen, would have been nice to be called but I agreed to bring it in today (Monday) at 10am.
Arrived at 9.30, and said I would need the car back for 3 as I had to collect the kids from school. I arrived back at the garage at 12 to wait for the car. It was still parked outside. I watched a car drive in off the street with an unknown issue, go for a test drive and then go straight onto a ramp! At 1.30 I asked if my car would be done soon as I really needed to be at the school for 3. I watched the manager go into the workshop and speak to the mechanic about it and the mechanic basically stood there shrugging his shoulders.
The manager came to apologise and said he could book it for another time and do something with the price. But seeing the mechanics attitude and lack of organisation, I will unfortunately not be taking any of my vehicles here again. Why agree a time to drop a car for an MOT and not stick to the times?
I only gave a 2 star based on previous experiences

I went to Quick Lane Gorton to have a new timing belt fitted.
Whilst my car was at the garage, they did what they call a 'Health Check' or 'Quality Assurance Check'
The manager of the garage called me whilst my car was being seen to and told me that my MOT was due in a few days and my two front tyres had particularly low tread, close to the legal limit.
He told me that he recommends I change these tyres immediately (whilst in the garage) as he wouldn't recommend me driving on them they are so bad. This is especially as I told him I was going to Anglesey in a couple of days (110mile journey).
I knew myself the tyres were close to needing to be replaced, thought it's great they have noticed this and happy for them to change them.
The tyres couldn't be changed that day, I was told to collect my car and bring it back the next morning to have the tyres fitted.
The garage manager said the car is in great condition, and once it's had these two tyres replaced it will fly through its MOT no problem.
He also told me that my auxiliary belt needed to be changed ideally as its 10 years old, and whilst the car is being stripped down they won't charge me for the repair, just the part at £43.
The garage then rang me around 4pm and told me the car was ready for collection, I got to the garage at around 4:30ish.
I spoke to the manager on my arrival and he told me all the work had been completed, the car is in great condition, take it away tonight, come back in the morning for the Tyres to be fitted and when the MOT is due it will fly through.
I was so happy, even though the tyres hadn't been fitted, I was happy to pay in full for all of the work, £803.
The manager then told me to wait outside and the technician will bring the car out to me.
I waited outside for around 10 minutes, to then see my car drive out of the garage, and on to the road. I thought this was just for a quick check to make sure everything was OK.
The car came back onto the garage car park and then straight into the garage again, bonnet open and 3/4 guys stood around it looking at it.
A technician then came over to me and said the timing and auxiliary belts have been replaced, but there's a strange error message and the car is in limp mode, we can't work it out.
My heart sunk at this point.
He took me over to the car and showed me the error, he said the car can't go above 20mph and we don't know why, did it come in like this?
Absolutely not, my car was in perfect working condition when it came in. Despite me telling them numerous times the car didn't come in to the garage with this issue, the technicians kept claiming it did.
How would I have driven the 7 miles to the garage whilst it was in this condition? And why wasn't this pointed out to me when I brought the car in? If it was like this when it came in, it would have been the first thing you would have said to me.
Also, I've just paid £803 and been told my car is perfectly fine to drive away tonight, the manager new I was going to drive it away that evening - was he going to let me drive it away in this condition or was he unaware?
The technician said I couldn't take the car that evening and I'd have to wait til the next day to see if they could fix it.
I spoke to the manager immediately, who informed me the car came in like this, and wasn't sure what the fix would be.
He didn't mention money, I must make that clear, but his demeanor told me I was likely looking at a bill for them to fix it as they claimed the fault wasn't caused by them.
I complained immediately to Quick Lane HQ, the response was quick and efficient and they reassured me I wouldn't have to pay for this issue. I went back to the garage and collected my car the next day after the tyres were fitted and fault fixed.
I have since gone to another garage to have its MOT done, and sure enough it has failed. 'Repair immediately, major defects'.
They also told me that the the car is unsafe to drive until this issue is fixed. They can't repair the issue unfortunately as they can't get the part, I would have to source it myself.
There's also a massive aluminium heat shield from that rear of the car which was hanging on by a thread, which they had to remove.
The garage informed me that the part that had gone was the upper suspension arm, and its in such a bad way that its obviously been like this for some time.
I immediately went to Jaguar and purchased the new part for the garage to fit, before going home and jacking up the car to see the play in the wheel for myself. The wheel was rocking it was so bad.
I am shocked and appalled that after I spent £803 at quick lane, had a 'health check', to find out that I have been driving an unsafe and potentially dangerous car.
I am still waiting for a response from QL as so far they have dismissed my concerns, despite this to me seemingly like a serious health and safety issue.
Also, one of the invoices I have received says I still OWE THEM £543 despite me paying in full, £803.

Staff really helpful and place is spotless in waiting room.
I took my car as had flat Tyre , Matt was very professional and talked through what was wrong with trye and mended it . Have been to places before where just replaced the tyre without even investigating it . Matt made sure he was thorough and checked all possibilities making sure a new tyre is a last resort . Will be using this place again as very trustworthy.

I have used Quick Lane at Gorton a number of times now and I have always been really impressed with the service offered.
On my most recent visit when the car was having an MOT, the manager drove myself and my partner home while the car was being worked on and even dropped off the car afterwards!
Truly above and beyond!
I have found all the staff to be very fair, knowledgeable and courteous. I would use them again and would gladly recommend anyone else use them!
