Libaan was amazing

The most infuriating support

I think I am done with QBO. Had enough
In my time with them their system has sent out VAT invoices with no VAT on them meaning customers have not paid the correct amount. One time their invoice said £50 plus VAT = £40. You could not make it up. Whilst trying to fix the issue they created a dummy invoice on a clients account which was not cleaned up and because we had a direct debit in place that £1000 was debited to the clients account and credited to mine.

This time my problem was simple. I noticed that there was a red flat on an invoice that was sent and it was marked as bounced. So all I need to do is to view the bounce message to see why it was bounced. Could not find it. Tried their Ai support which did not even understand the question and gave me answers that were totally irrevelent. So I Googled it but after following the steps to expose the bounce message got me nowhere. So then I tried their chat support. It takes them several minutes to resond to each message you sent. They asked me for my name and email addres twice. They asked me what I had done to resolve the issue - twice. After 50 minutes of them not answering the question which was how do I find the bounce message they still had not answered but asked again what I had done to resolve it.

I have been with QBO for 7 years. The cost started out at £24 and is now £45 which is much more than inflation. Every year the cost goes up and with MTD in the UK looming no doubt it will go up again.

So time to explore other alternatives to this utterly rubbish company whose staff are more interested in saying "I understand how you feel and want to help you" rather than answering the question which would have solved the issue in 5 minutes if only they actually answered the question.

SHAMBOLIC

Software that does not function - Millage tracking has not been working properly for more than a year, and not working at all for the last few weeks.

Support incompetent with blame culture that it is problem with my mobile device etc.

Absolutely impossible to obtain answers to very basic questions on the phone - support keeps going in loops and loops with endless waste of my time.

Absolutely SHAMBOLIC! AVOID AVOID AVOID this ugly corporate enterprise.

We've used Quickbooks ever since it was Quicken and running on DOS in the 1980's, so we've seen all the improvements and development over the years. It's always been user friendly, effective and reliable. Our recent interaction with the helpline to resolve a VAT MTD issue in the UK sums up the current system as it was flawless and slick. ;-)

Their customer service is absolutely awful

Their customer service is absolutely awful. If they can't resolve the issue they just closed down your complaint. Nobody in Technical will take any responsibility for anything and then expect you to lose all the date you have inputted to purge the system!!
Absolutely crazy. Worse company I have had to deal with

Aneesa U., a Customer Success Expert from the QuickBooks Online Help Team was extremely helpful in advising on future use of the application as we move towards "Making Tax Digital". She should be commended for her expertise in the subject matter and truly went above and beyond in her professionalism.

Support won't refund me

Support won't refund me, after attempting to cancel my purchase made today, contacted them to cancel my subscription and request a refund, but they refuse to refund me unless I call them, which I am unable to do. The live chat support is useless, wouldn't trust this company with my information long term.

Never again

Update- Yet another (the third in nearly three months) promise of repayment within 5-7 business days has come and gone. Still no hope of getting my funds returned. Spent another waste of time with the chat team, to no avail.

The worst customer service i've ever experienced. I have been waiting nearly two months for a refund of a charge - and have chased three times by phone and twice by chat. I've now changed accounting software as the experience with QuickBooks was so bad. Terrible!

I have used quickbooks self employed…

I have used quickbooks self employed for years I run an Etsy shop so my main uploads of business data come from there. From February this year they have just stopped linking self employed to Etsy haven't waited until the end of the tax year just no more data links on this. I thought to begin with this wouldn't be a problem I was told to upgrade to quickbooks online all my data will transfer from self employed and on quickbooks online you can link to Etsy still, so looks like the reasoning behind stopping it February is to force your hand to upgrade to online they are phasing self employed out. That's fine if upgrading works. I did the upgrade on the 17th March told my data would all transfer within 72 hours it is now the 3rd April and my information has still not transferred over despite multiple chats with multiple 'help' people I am just continually getting the same it is being looked into message. Over 2 weeks still no resolution and I am paying for a service I cannot use. I canot enter new data incase it does merge and I then have double data so I am at a complete loss. I am now looking to find another company for swapping myself to MTD which means I also need to learn a new programme which isn't ideal at the end of the tax year. I definitely wouldn't recommend to anyone who uses this if Etsy is your main source they cannot be relied on. Customer Service no use just state we are escalating it again for you I've chased this multiple times and all I get from the team it was escalated to is a weekly email saying their engineers are 'looking into it' they'll update me again in a week next week is going to be a new tax year. Really not good enough.
