When booking I requested a table not too far from the entrance due to being on crutches so all started well when we were given a table close to the door with space to put my crutches. Unfortunately it was downhill from then on. Trying to order 2 raspberry and rose sodas that are on the drinks menu proves difficult for our waitress who couldn’t find it on her tablet. This wouldn’t have been an issue if we had received our drinks, but the wrong ones came over. It was corrected, no drama. We had ordered our food at the same time as we had waited over 10 mins for anyone to come over for our drinks order. Well that was nothing compared to our 45 min wait for our food! And that was only after we prompted the waitress who went to check and miraculously it was just being plated. Cue the food that was cold and clearly plated a while ago. I was told more lamb was just being cooked so it wouldn’t be long and the pork for my mum takes just minutes to cook. All lies. My lamb has blatantly been reheated on the grill. Even to the point where the piece I had already cut into was still on the plate! Lamb has gone to over cooked, new potatoes had been in the microwave, and the sauce on the side was still lukewarm. They did offer to take the coat of the lamb off the bill, but our day has been blighted. I don’t get many days off from chemo. Stage 4 cancer keeps on going but I really just wanted a nice day out with my mum.
