They take your money and just keep it

If there were an option for zero stars..that would be their rating. I ordered gloves on February 8, 2022, over a year ago! I have contacted them many times about an update. Still have received no gloves, no update on when I should be receiving them. I now will ask for a refund, which I am not too hopeful for based on the many negative reviews regarding such. Buy heated gloves anywhere but here.

Misleading. Product on pre order not available till April

Ordered a pair of gloves for my fiance for valentines day and never got shipment confirmation. Waited a couple of days and then contacted their customer service via email with no answer and then a day later tried calling as well. You can't even speak to this company. I called and left a voice mail. Nobody called me back and the number I called is a local GTA canadian number so if you are international buyer good luck calling them. After about 5 days waiting time I got an email that product is on back order and doesn't ship till april. This is the day before valentines day. They are literally fooling people because on their website it doesn't say "pre order" but instead it says "hurry 19 left". They are misleading people to place orders and then telling them they have no stock. Trying to get my money back now will see how that is going to go.

Review Update

Quanta Vici It’s been over two years and yet I have no gloves. You gave me ANOTHER empty promise last year that I would receive my gloves in September. It’s now February! Oddly enough I found your website telling people if they bought early enough in December they would receive their product by Christmas. Was that a lie?
I have reached out to your customer service line three times only to get a canned message saying Quanta Vici was not available. Your email portal states you will reply in 24 to 48 hours. I have 4 left 4 messages with no response. Why is that? Your web page is full of lies.
Why don’t you reply to this message and show everyone here that you have at least the decency to respond to your paying customers and give an explanation.

Faulty product and horrible customer service

After the kickstarter campaign, I got my gloves one year later than the original supposed delivery date.
They did not work and I have been fighting with customer service for over a year to get a replacement or refund. They sometimes take over a month to reply to one email and try to charge me to get a warranty replacement.
Absolutely despicable.

Hi Tom,

Sorry about the inconvenience you have experienced. We understand that technical difficulties can be frustrating.

At Quanta Vici, we are continuously listening to our customer's feedbacks and working on improving.

I see that you are a Kickstarter backer! That means a lot to us as our company was funded and launched on the market with your help.

As mentioned in our email, we'd be happy to provide you with a free replacement battery, but as you'd understand, as a Canadian Business, shipping to Belgium has shipping fees that were never promised to be covered.

Please note that we did not even request the regularly required proof and approved your replacement as a courtesy. But then again, as per our exchange policy the shipping fees will be the customer's responsibility as we work with 3rd party shipping companies.

As a backer who helped fund and launch our startup, we hope that you recognize that we are doing our best to offer you a fair amount of support as best as our capabilities and consider our company funded with your help, so it truly saddens us to see your review against a project you have played a significant role funding.

They can't deliver

I ordered a pair of gloves in October 2021. They arrived in January and one didn't work. I have been waiting for a replacement ever since.
Multiple promises of a delivery date have been broken.
If you place an order be prepared to never actually see the product.

Hi Rang,

We apologize for the inconvenience you have experienced! We completely understand the disappointment a shipment delay can bring. As we are still a growing start-up, we do our best to make sure we deliver in a timely manner each and every order.

We are constantly updating our policies and currently our exchange policy states that we will deliver the replacement only if available. Having faced external impediments such as high demand, we made sure to overcome them but that lead to an inevitable delay. Rest assured that you will have the replacement delivered as we are continuously listening to our customer's feedbacks and working on improving.

Ordered Gloves that were reported as in…

Ordered Gloves that were reported as in stock. A month later I ask when can I expect delivery, they had a snippy response that they would ship around Dec 27. Waited about a week, they still haven’t shipped. Asked them again, and they “hope” to fulfill the order before the end of the month. Asked for a full refund if they can’t provide a date, they are not willing to do so.

Edit: They have now fully refunded. Still do not recommend due to poor communication.

They'll do everything they can to aggravate you

As others have noted: stay away. The company allows you to "pre-order" items with an estimated delivery date. That's pretty clearly spelled out, but if you cancel the order they'll assume it's because you don't want to wait and haven't read the estimated date. Then they'll do everything but refund your money, even if you ask repeatedly - they don't read your responses.

When they finally acquiesce to a refund, they will charge a $45 fee for "handling" an order they've done absolutely nothing with, and point to their stated refund policy (buried in their terms), which they'll happily tell you they've "assumed you have read". Needless to say, they never bother reminding you of this fee in the emails prior to the refund.

So, it seems they have built this $45 fee into their business model... assume x% of people will cancel and let's make money off them anyway.

As a way for a startup to build a loyal customer base, I can't imagine a worse approach. Very poor business practices.

Deceptive Shipping info and Uncooperative Customer Service

The company was deceptive about when the product would be delivered, prominently saying they usually deliver to the US within 1-7 days but that it might take 14 days during the holidays.

I ordered in mid-December, and when I hadn't received shipping information 14 days later, I asked for details. It turns out they won't be able to fill my order until APRIL.

Customer service seems designed to make the process of fixing problems difficult. The live-chat representative said that only emailing would work, and the email representative made me repeat myself multiple times that I wanted a refund, then refused.

I don't know the quality of the product because I never received it.

This company is unbelievable… i placed…

This company is unbelievable… i placed an order in November and when i follow up i learned that they will only ship after Christmas.
Asked for a refund as that was not mentioned at the time of order/payment and they obviously would not fulfill order.
They issued a partial refund, charging $45 for "processing fees" on an item that does not even been manufactured - invoking a refund policy hidden somewhere on their website.

Comfortable and relatively efficient so far

Gloves are comfortable and keep my hands fairly warm on cool days but not sufficiently on very cold and windy days since they are relatively thin. I enjoy the fact that their tactile sensitive design allows me to easily operate my iPhone and Apple Watch without removing my gloves. Took me a while to actually make them charge until I learned that they should be connected using a non-Apple connector to a wall outlet rather than a Powerbar.

STAY AWAY - WILL CHARGE YOU $45 EVEN WHEN THEY DON'T DELIVER THE PRODUCT

Just like all the other reviews, this company is a scam and will rip you off.

Extremely poor customer service and clearly fraudulent commercial practices.
Despite what the company claims, this is NOT a rare case. There's a lot of reviews (TrustPilot, BBB, KickStarter...) that do state the exact same issue.

Hi Gilbert,
We are deeply sorry to hear that you had a negative experience ordering. While the website does state whether an order is a "Pre-order" or a regular order and when the exact shipping time is, we understand that learning that later depending on the estimated time for various products may be a disappointment.
We are a startup, building towards absolute perfection, learning every day, and doing our best to get there.
The issue you are experiencing is extremely rare and we are already working on making it more clear on the online shop to avoid such misunderstandings.
Furthermore, if you provide your info, our customer care team can ensure that you are left with a resolution in your favor.
Quanta Vici is a small team of world's best designers, engineers, and manufacturers, delivering thousands of Smart Heated Wearables across the globe, helping bring warmth and outerwear protection. We hope that you give us a chance to show you what QV is truly about with the full experience.
Cheers!

SCAM! Stay FAR FAR Away

Company is a scam.
Will not fulfill order.
Changed policy online after confronted them.
Charging $45 for a refund for "processing" an item that does not exist.

Been more than a month waiting for product.

I will now post this ON EVERY SINGLE PLATFORM I CAN FIND AND ENSURE THAT NO ONE I KNOW EVER BUYS THEIR PRODUCT.

Absolutely ridiculous.
