AVOID BAIT AND SWITCH ADVERTISER
Our Miele electric oven stopped working in June 2025, so I searched online for a reputable repairer and Quality Appliance Repair came up. Their website quoted Miele services in Perth to be $198 including GST. When I called their number to book a service, the agent said that it was a premium appliance and that it would be $242 including GST. Despite sending a screenshot of their website to the agent, he said that they would not honour their quoted price. I made a complaint to the ACCC about their deceptive advertising and they called me back a few days later saying that they would honour their quoted price on the website by way of an apology. Deception is behavioural and I wouldn't be able to trust them to be honest with me with regards to their services. If they’re willing to bait and switch what else are they wiling to do to gouge customers when servicing their appliances?
