Horrible company

Horrible company. This is a predatory scam. It's impossible to cancel your service with them, and impossible to reach anyone on the phone or by email. I tried cancelling my service when I moved and they charged me anyway. Multiple attempts to reach them and rectify this lead to a letter threatening that my account was delinquent and would be sent to collections if I did not pay them. DO NOT USE THIS COMPANY!

If I could give a Zero review I would!

If I could give QBE renters insurance a zero I certainly would. They have been a nightmare to deal with! My 88 year old Aunt was renting an apartment that was requiring renters insurance. QBE was the recommended one. I signed her up and have been paying this out of my account. Unfortunately she passed on 9/21/20. I have called multiple numbers and emails supplied by their "customer service ". I supplied death certificate and power of attorney as requested which should not be necessary as the apartment is no longer rented. Not only have they not canceled the coverage they charged me for October! I am furious! DO NOT DEAL WITH THIS COMPANY!

Never again with qbe.

Called about flooding in my house from big storms, it took almost 6 weeks for someone to contact me, by this time everything was already dried out and cleaned up, so there was, in their own words "nothing to assess". 2 weeks ago my father had a minor car accident, i called qbe. The phone line was so bad (from their end) that i could not here a single word they were saying. i ended up filling out an online claim. I heard nothing for 2 weeks, I called them now and they told me that they have nothing on their records about me making the claim.

I got water in my basement back in May

I got water in my basement back in May, still trying to get my basement put back together. I have had 4 claim reps two adjuster. They use some company call code blue, very bad contractor who ever they are.

They sent Stanley Steamer out to get water out but they would not pay or authorize work. I believe code blue and QBE is in cahoots together.

QBE is given new contractor a run around. Contractor is charging 26k for completed work. QBE only wants to pay 10k. They rejected the bid and wants the contractor to submit another bid/quote.

I guest I may have to get a lawyer to get this settle.

Do not ever insure with QBE

Do not ever insure with QBE. I bought myself a Mercedes out of a divorce settlement after enduring years of family violence. I paid 55k cash for an AMG A45. I had never obtained insurance myself. My ex husband and I had been together since school and he controlled all of the finances.
I made the mistake of assuming that paying a higher price for my insurance meant a higher level of customer service. QBE claim to have an easy claims process in the event of an accident.
On a roadtrip home from Adelaide my housemate was driving my car and I was sleeping in the back, and he aqua plained and we flipped 3 time and took out 30 metres of teetree bush on the side of the road. There were three of us in the car. I wasn't driving because I had partied hard on the weekend and my housemate had agreed to stay clean for the trip home.
I lodged my claim with QBE immediately. My car was a total ride off. Its a miracle any of us survived. I had paid for top cover which included a hire car to get me around for the duration of the claim. They did not provide this for 2 weeks and then the car was stolen and I was left without a car despite having paid premiums for one.
QBE requested blood results from all three of us despite my room mate being the only one driving - just as reported in the police report and his bloods were clear. QBE suggested that I was infact driving which was completely false. The police would not write inaquarate reports. The driver was a male and I am female and he was trapped in the front drivers seet when help arrived.
Now when I opened the claim I reported what I knew to be on my driver's history report however because I had previously shared cars with my ex husband I had accumulated fines in my name for offences I did not commit.
I called VIC roads to try and obtain images but couldn't because of the age of the offences.
I am aware of disclosure requirements but they were unwilling to budge and reduce my payout.
I flushed 55k down the toilet 3 months after leaving my horrible life.
I am now 3 years down the track and still haven't received premium refunds for the contributions I made towards what the labled a void policy. To ad further insult to injury they allowed Pickles auctions to sell my car that I still legally owned given they rejected my claim and I still have no money returned.
Ralph Bach disputes and claims was arrogant and rude as well as very unhelpful. Admittedly I wasn't the easiest to deal with but I'm the customer. I have a right to voice my complete disappointment and disatisfaction with their service.
I would not recommend QBE to ANYONE. My claim was made in November 2018 and it's now September 2020 and I am still awaiting resolution.
They did not uphold the agreement that I paid for.
I will continue to spread this word until my dispute is settled.
Given their rating on here it looks to me that they aren't that fazed with their poor industry rating.
I am well and strong and equip to fight for a result now so I will make sure we are all heard.

The absolute worst of insurance groups…

The absolute worst of insurance groups bordering and possibly committing fraud.

After years of buying public liability insurance from this mob, I recently sent them an email to cancel before my next due payment date.

After not receiving a reply, I then contacted my bank to block the direct debit.

They then sent me a final summary balance which showed I owed them a balance of $11.20. However, this was not correct.

I mailed them back and this is what they said on 7 Sep 2020

“ Please either provide another account or please feel free to give us a call and provide a credit card
to us. This is not for money you owe us it is for a refunded amount for the unused portion of the premium we need to credit you.”

I wrote back and provided them with my bank details to deposit the money.

Today, 14 Sep 2020, I noticed that funds had been debuted from my account by QBE

I did not authorise this debut, I have no idea how they managed to withdraw this money from my account, and obviously I will contact my bank on 15 Sep 2020 to find out exactly how they managed to do this.

I do consider this fraud, and will take the matter further if need be.

I have written to them on 14 Sep 2020 and see if they reply.

I already did not trust this group due to their attempts to over sell, I know that insurance companies are notorious for money grabbing dishonesty, and thus has become a serious lesson.

A big storm knocked a couple trees down…

A big storm knocked a couple trees down in my yard. The trees damaged my fence and other property. I now have half of a 50ft Maple and a 40ft black walnut split down the middle with top missing. They said start the cleanup and send us a bill. Now I'm being charged a 3460 deductible to fix 2100 in damages to my fence. They will not pay to cut down the damaged trees and they are arguing the cleanup bill because the word "yard" is in the description (cut trees off of deck, swing set, grill, fence and yard). Apparently they will pay to cut the tree off of my personal belonging like my house, deck, etc.. but not out of my yard. And if your contractor doesnt specify where the branches were when they cut them up, you are screwed. Oh they also told me that if the hanging and broken limbs fall now they aren't covered under my insurance because I am aware of them being a hazard and am responsible for removing them before they fall on anything. I'm beyond words with this company.

I've never seen this kind of company in my whole life.

I tried so hard to cancel my policy (renter's insurance), but it was impossible to talk to any staff (line is always busy). Undoubtedly, they never replied my emails.

Finally, charging the new policy yesterday without any confirmation from me. Still I cannot contact with them.

If you consider making a contract with this terrible company, please don't! It's a disaster!

A pity I had to pick a star to write a review . QBE or not worthy of being rated with one . After suffering a workplace injury and enduring many months of severe pain , and being assessed by a doctor to be fit to work , but , and I mean but . Having permanent ongoing discomfort and occasional severve pain , which has impacted and impacts my working and personal life , which has also been noted by the doctor concerned , QBE have come to the conclusion that that is the end of the claim and I am not entitled to any sort of compensation at all .
During this time , I have also had to go over every detail to three or four different managers and try to explain everything from the stary each time . It is my belief that if the case is passed on , then so should the next case manager receive the relevant information regarding the case . Basically . If you go to work one day and are injured due to no fault of your own and QBE are the insurers for the company you are employed by , expect to be shafted by QBE if you are injured .

DO NOT DO BUSINESS WITH THIS COMPNAY

DO NOT DO BUSINESS WITH THIS COMPNAY. It has been over a year when our property was hit for over $50k in damages from a storm... we are still fighting with them to approve replacing our 20+ year old siding, roof, and broken windows. This company is a scam! over 15 messages and emails were sent/left from both the contractor and me with no reply. I called the company's main number to try to talk to someone and found out that our adjuster was on a leave of absence and NO ONE WAS MONITORING HER EMAILS OR VOICE MAILS!!!!!

QBE have actively worked against me in…

QBE have actively worked against me in an attempt to not honour their policy. They accepted a payment from the opposing insurance company and kept it a secret. They mislead AFCA during a complaint process and are now being investigated for a second time. Dealing with them is worse than the accident. I've hired a lawyer.

Got this pathetic insurance for our new car. Someone hit the rear door while reversing like an idiot. We put the claim through. They said we were not at fault and we starting the repair. Half way through the repair they changed it and said we are at fault and now we have to pay the excess. Bloody frauds. DO NOT GO WITH THEM.
They will take your money but never help.

GOOD LUCK EVER GETTING ANYONE ON THE PHONE. Incredibly bad customer service. They don't answer their phone lines - any of them. They don't return calls. They don't respond to emails.

They also won't cancel service. We've called and emailed and they still send payment requests. Avoid if at all possible. Literally a rock would be better.

Lousy service

Lousy service! They are terrible. Calculated our NCD wrongly for a car insurance policy and only to find out about that during the next renewal. Thus have to call them to confirm on this matter. Called the General line from website. Was given another number to call the correct Dept, only to find out that that personnel that she "cannot help me" because she is "working from home".
Oh, not to mention NOT RECEIVING any "Hello..." from any one of them. I thought I dialled wrongly to someone at the market.
Blessing in disguise, we have not made any claims in the past year.
