Q-Up is a virtual walk-in queue and booking platform built for barbershops and hair salons, starting in Sydney, Australia. Instead of standing in a crowded waiting area or being turned away when a shop is busy, customers scan a QR code sticker on the shop door or window and join the queue in about 10 seconds - no app download required. They can then wait wherever suits them and get an SMS when their turn is coming up. On the business side, shop owners and staff run everything from one dashboard: the live queue, walk-in customers added manually at the counter, bookings, and (for shops that use it) payments through Stripe. Owners with more than one location can see queue and booking activity across all their sites in one place. Q-Up was built to solve a specific, everyday problem for independent barbershops and salons: busy periods where walk-in customers leave rather than wait, and the queue is being tracked on a paper list or from memory. It's a young product, still in its early customer stage with shops in Sydney, and we're upfront about that - we'd rather earn trust with a small number of real, verifiable customers than overstate where we are. We build for barbers, not enterprises, and we keep pricing simple: monthly plans with no long-term lock-in.
