Following a discussion with Mike I went for the 4ft x 7ft Marlborough Longbed 2000, for my 6ft 6 adult son.

The knowledge and support that Mike provides is excellent. The base, mattress and headboard are sturdy and look stunning.

Reasonably priced and delivered in a timely manner.

My son has stopped complaining about backache in the morning and says he’s sleeping much better.

I'm now the happy owner of a very long bed. Lovely service from Mike. He was knowledgeable and helped me pick the right mattress (which is perfect). Great choice of headboards and fabrics.
Delivery was suprisingly quick which was a wonderful bonus!

Bought a 1500 pocket spring, super king (6ft x 6ft6in) mattress after speaking with Mike. The mattress was made and delivered within a week of ordering and the delivery team called to arrange a suitable date/time and helped carry it upstairs to the bedroom. The mattress is superb quality and very comfortable and at a fraction of the price you’d pay at the usual well known retail stores. Mike is very personable and easy to deal with. The whole end to end process and my customer experience was first class.

Fabulous bed & quick delivery
We researched a lot before buying this bed for our tall son. The bed we bought is far better made, amazingly comfortable and better value than any other option we considered ( incl usual suspects for selling beds)

With son of height of 6 foot 7 ( just over 2 metres) there was no benefit buying any 2 metre long bed as it would have the same foot overhang as his current single - (C1.8m Long). Additionally seemed mad to buy a double just for him to lie diagonally!

We went for the 2000 pocket sprung mattress and 7 foot length by 4foot 6 wide. The mattress is extremely comfortable.

The bed arrived amazingly quickly - within a week of order and within the delivery slot promised.

The end storage drawer is really useful and the divan base covering looks stylish and simple - so no need for any valance. All very well made and robust. Easy to put together c 8 mins.

I initially ordered just a mattress in error. Purely Beds were on the ball and immediately emailed me to check if this was intentional - then helped me correct the order to include a divan base.

Thanks for a great bed - just wish we had bought it a long time ago. Now debating whether we might even look to replace our own 6ft 6 and 20 year old mattress with one from Purely beds. Thank you - great produce and service

This is a company you can trust to provide an excellent service. Although it is not mentioned on the website, you can order a small double bed. Just contact Mike for details. The Purleybeds 2000 bed is very comfortable, and my son is very happy with the extra length (6.6).

I wanted an outsize bed (I am 6 foot 6) and Purelybeds were by far the cheapest. But then I decided I wanted it reinforced (being tall I am also heavy, and longer beds have more leverage, so are easier to break). Mike, the guy who runs the place, discussed the options and did exactly what I wanted. I'm pretty sure they have never had that request before, but they did it anyway, even thought they are not really a "made to measure" place. But they make their own beds so they can do anything .
Then when they found that their courier does not deliver to our area they found another one that does. I now have a gigantic super strong bed. I definitely recommend them.

To be absolutely fair, there was a minor problem - the base ended up a tiny bit too long for the mattress, but I think that's because of the reinforcing, and because they ended up having to split the base into four: I don't think they allowed for the extra thickness of wood. But really this is a good thing - it illustrates how they are willing to try something new and really go out of their way to provide exactly what the customer wants. It would have been very easy just to say "no", or charge a fortune. Instead they discussed our needs, and the extra cost for reinforcing was well under ten percent of the price of the bed.

Ordered an extra long bed from Purely beds. I first ordered the 1000 mattress and then got phone call from Michael recommending the 1500 mattress because I am 16 st and the same weight as him, he also sleeps on this mattress. Although the 1500 was slightly more expensive I was charged the same price. He was right its the most comfortable bed I've ever slept on. Great customer service thanks Purely beds

I bought a small double divan from this company - which duly arrived at the appointed time on the correct day. The quality is exemplary, really well packed, I was very impressed, and at an unbelievably good price. Small problem with the arrangement of drawers, there was some confusion about my requirements but I spoke to Mike at PurelyBeds, very helpful, and subsequently got a complete replacement, free of any charges and again delivered quickly and on time. Like the previous reviewer I don't have any interest in this apart from being a customer, but I can assure anyone who thinks the low prices means poor quality they most certainly do not. Easily one of my best buys, great bed and probably saved myself £200 - £300. Highly recommended.

Having moved house recently we found ourselves having to buy four mattresses in short order. For a variety of pricing, availability and timing reasons we ended up ordering these four mattresses from four separate companies.

The first was ok - the big online retailer with a river like name. The other two (mattress specialists) both had problems, the second of which ( I won't name them here) were a customer service nightmare initially until finally getting resolved.

Our order from Purelybeds was a bit strange. Due to what we already had we wanted two difficult-to-find odd size items:
A 5'0" x 6'9" mattress and a 4'6" x 6'9" divan base.

Both odd sizes, both different. Thankfully our order was delivered correctly and much earlier than originally promised. Delivery was well notified and clarified with a clear two hour window (on a Saturday at no extra cost). Additionally we spoke to Mike, who I believe to be a business principal (e.g. owner) and hence the service was exemplary.

Happy to recommend and Purelybeds will be our first point of call when we have to order a mattress again.
