The main problem is it is not a physical card, nor can it be moved onto phone app. It only works when making a purchase where card details are needed

Very smooth process and relatively easy…
Very smooth process and relatively easy to spend the money. I loaded mine onto Amazon and carefully selected items to use the credit.
I note you could not load the card into Apple eWallet but this is only a small issue.
