I purchased an engine from Pumaspeed in October 2025 (Invoice 103720), and the experience has been very disappointing. The engine was faulty from the moment it was fitted, immediately triggering an error code and leaving my car unusable.

What followed was weeks of poor communication and broken promises. Despite multiple phone calls and two formal emails, Pumaspeed repeatedly failed to provide a confirmed date for the repair. I even arranged transport based on a date they gave me, only for the courier to be turned away because no booking had actually been made — resulting in wasted costs.

Throughout November and December, I was told several times that I would receive updates “later that day” or once the car was booked in, but no updates ever came. Even when Pumaspeed later claimed the car had been booked, this turned out not to be true.

Although they eventually stated they would cover repair and transport costs, their repeated failures to follow through make it very difficult to trust their assurances. I have been without my car for over two months, have incurred unnecessary expenses, and have had to escalate the matter through a Section 75 claim due to their lack of action and accountability.

Based on my experience, I cannot recommend Pumaspeed. The lack of communication, organisation, and reliability has been extremely frustrating.

I placed a single order with Puma Speed and paid in full to get it overseas.
They split my order without asking me and sent part of it later ( crankshaft )
As a result, I had to pay an additional €130 in customs fees for the same purchase.
To make matters worse, they had the audacity to say I was not obliged to accept the shipment — despite the fact that it was an essential part I urgently needed.
Communication was poor, and they refused to take responsibility.
This caused unnecessary delays and extra costs. Be aware when ordering

Had a stage 2r on my fiesta st180 completely transformed the car brilliant company highly recommend

aluminium spacer nut litteraly snapped while hand tigtening lugs with a breaker bar.

Awful quality to say i spent over £100 for 2 spacers.

I've ordered multiple time off pumaspeed and have had greater experiences they get back to me within a reasonable time for my questions via email and I had a mishap with last parcel delivery and they sent out something next day delivery to make sure I was sorted cant that k them enough and im going stage 2 r November so look forward to it thanks again

Rang up to purchase a hard pipe kit for an intercooler already in place on the car. I informed the individual on the other end of the phone that the car had a VT330r turbo on it and the lad on the phone said "hold on wait il speak to someone" phone then went onto loud speaker and some obnoxious clown comes on the phone starts telling me they dont do a kit that will fit due to the angle of the intake, so I said please explain. Proceeds to say the turbo is made up of different bits from different manufacturers eg peugeot was mention. Then proceeds to say they are sxxt. So I said what are you on about, the turbos are crap and made up from all sorts of different bits.
In my mind id rang to purchase a hard pipe kit and instead of coming up with a solution just flags the cars parts off. At which I hung up.

Unprofessional won't be spending anything with this outfit.

Recently dealt with Tom, who’s new to pumapseed , he’s been most helpful in assisting me with parts needed for my fiesta ST,
Would fully recommend these guys as a whole got a lot of information on the site too that does help.

Bought eco boost engine, supposed to be reconditioned, had it fitted was faulty, had to go through credit card company to get money back. There staff do not return calls a shister scamming outfit.

Awsome service, quick answers. I’m based in Belgium even than you get helped out so much! I bought a stage 1r tune for my st180 and it was easy and fast to install. Really recommend buying from them.

Look elsewhere for your on line orders. This farce of a company’s after sales service is abhorrent.
I purchased 2 pairs of H&R wheel spacers. One week after purchase One pair only was delivered.!!
On contacting these people, it became apparent they only had the One pair in stock. They didn’t even have the decency to contact me to give me the option of cancelling the order. Yet they were happy to take my payment £240 and say absolutely nothing.
I then opened a case on PayPal for the missing pair of spacers. To which they attempted to DEFRAUD me by offering a refund of £90 for the missing pair. An absolute insult to my intelligence.
Clearly the staff failed basic math.
I declined their generous offer..!!
I then had a phone call from a Tony.. who basically slagged the staff off as dimwits.
I then received an offer that they couldn’t obtain the 2nd pair of spacers anywhere.. other than direct from H&R Germany... They would have them sent directly to me.. but I needed to close the case on PayPal first..!! 🤷‍♂️ REALLY..!!
They treat people like idiots. Disrespectful, No apologies.
To date .. PUMASPEED haven’t even responded to the PayPal case through the resolution centre.!
That’s 10 days after opening the case.
All this company is interested in is advertising products, they don’t actually have. Take your money, insult you..DO NOTHING to resolve how they have defrauded you. DISGUSTING 🤢..
I still only have one pair of spacers which are of No Use to myself..!, £240 out of pocket.. No contact from PUMASPEED..!
I’ve asked to return the pair I do have.. through PayPals resolution centre.. NO RESPONSE FROM PUMASPEED.
I now have to wait for the PayPal case to be escalated.. as these cowboys are deliberately refusing to deal with the issue.

SO BE WARNED DONT DEAL WITH THESE JOKERS.

Bought some quite rare wheel bearings that these folk happen to have in stock. As it happened, I needed to return them. They issued a return label, I sent them straight back, and got an immediate refund. No hassle whatsoever. Very easy, friendly transaction.

Should not b in business, simply disgraceful behaviour.

Brought a 1.6 EcoBoost engine from Pumaspeed, that was my first mistake, the second mistake was not reading their reviews before purchasing.

I had issues with the engine after installation (within 100 mile), they offered no support, contacting the company was nearly impossible, and when I finally got thru to them, they were extremely dismissive nd rude

I have got advice from a reputable Ford specialist who has looked at the engine, now I'm being told that they do not believe this to be a Genuine Ford engine (as stated on their site, and as advised by Pumaspeed) - but a low quality copy unit. I couldn't quite believe this to begin with, however I have been sent proof of this. At that point I decided to do a little more digging on the business and its' owners (wish I had done this before purchasing) - it seems commonplace for these sorts of activities.

I am seeking legal proceedings to get this sorted once and for all - AVOID AT ALL COSTS.

Outstanding work from the lads at puma speed from both the young tech there (Callum) and Tony. The people within this company go above and beyond for people never done myself wrong would highly recommend!

Bought a new ecoboost engine for our BMax, was a lot cheaper than buying through the garage. Happy with the engine, delivery and sales service.

Purchased a fully assembled short block, had my head pressure tested skimmed and reassemble, all new water pump, oil pump, everything brand new , after 40 miles running in on partial throttle the bottom end started knocking,
Spoken to puma speed, no warranty or nothing they can do, basically I gotta purchase a new bottom end I’ve been told at cost which will save me £200. Not happy with the outcome. Avoid if possible, other companies have told me they would have the block back and repair it if I purchased it from them.

Awesome service wouldn't buy my tuning parts anywhere else. Great customer service. Very polite and professional. Would recommend them 110%. Never had any issues. I am just about to finish my stage 3 build with the new X49rs hybrid turbo, Pro450 intercooler and big boost pipe kit. Pumaspeed have been more than helpful all the way through the build.

Helping a friend with a recon engine change he got from Pumaspeed. Engine was defective, unable to be used but they refused to honour the warranty. He had loads of hassle and in the end had to get a refund from the credit card provider. Avoid

I’ve used pumaspeed quite a few times for parts for my mk7 st and most recently parts for my mk8 st, and have never had an issue. The best thing is the next day delivery service, especially to Northern Ireland too which not a lot of company’s can do. So will definitely be shopping here again

I orded a st170 brakes for the back of a st180 as this is an upgrade for that car . A week to come and then when I started to fit them the brake pads did not fit in the caliper bracket so I rang them up and to me they did not care less . All he said was we have never had this problem before and said I would have to file the pads to make them fit what a joke and for a kit that is a straight fit this made it a long job with extra work and I was not to happy about having to start modifying the pads in a safety aspect. Will think twice now about ordering from here again

Well what a total disappointment. I was expecting a slick setup but on arrival OMG! Car had been booked in and arranged via email for 10:30am today for a stage 2 full hit. After a 1.5 hour trip I arrived at a run down untidy garage to be greeted by a young lad. He didn't know what the car was booked in for! After being told to wait in the most disgusting waiting room I have ever seen, I was told someone would come out to see me. They never, so I asked again to be told the same. I asked how long I would have to wait and advised to pick the car back up at 5pm. That's a 6.5 hour wait for an advised 4 hour job. I was then advised that someone cancelled but turned up anyway today, so they are doing his car first? I waited and still the person that was suppose to come and see me never showed so, I ran away as fast as I could and took the opportunity not to proceed. Seriously anyone thinking of using these guys think again. The machanic is very young and the place is a total mess let alone disorganised. I had no confidence from pulling up to worsen with the lack of knowledge of what the car is even in for? No customer service what so ever. Granted they probably only deal with kids who don't have a clue but anyone with mature business sense knows this is how you don't run a business. Feel like I've totally dodged a bullet here, and I'm £1,500 up without the worry of who, and how fast they would have done the job, let alone not knowing what I came for. Anyone thinking of this place visit the place first and scope it out, and reading their site it says trained experienced technicians, lol more like an overworked very young mechanic with maybe some older people in the back office that can't be bothered greeting their spending customers. Terrible place, service, waiting facilities. No apology or anything. Interesting to also read the other reviews mentioning fitting lower grade parts and rounding bolts, splitting hoses. So glad I never let them work on my car......
