Very disappointing experience and complete lack of empathy
I had booked a cooking class with Pugliamare, but on the morning of the experience my partner woke up very sick. I contacted them politely, explained the situation, and asked if it would be possible to postpone the class to the following month, as I was flying back to Ireland that same night and would not be back in Bari for two weeks.
I was not asking for a cancellation or a refund — only for an alternative solution or a chance to reschedule due to illness. Unfortunately, their response was simply that their policy does not allow changes within 24 hours. There was no real empathy, flexibility, or willingness to help.
As a result, I lost €130 and also missed an experience I was genuinely looking forward to. I understand that businesses need policies, but situations involving illness should be handled with a minimum level of humanity and customer care.
Very disappointing service. I would not recommend booking with them unless you are 100% certain nothing unexpected will happen, because they appear to offer no support or flexibility at all.
