BORN Under The Clouds

Working with publishing push was a pleasure, they kept me informed and guided me each step of the way. Although I have written all my life, Born Under The Clouds was the very first book I had published. Stacey you're a little gem, you understood all my requirements and more than delivered. Also, I would like to say a massive thank you to the people who designed my book cover I shall be using the same on Born Under The Clouds 2. Keep up the good work I will be back with you early 2023.

An epic book, that required an immense effort to create and then write, followed by the huge task to publish it.

My wife and I spent over a year, trying to get a company interested in working directly with me - the author, to publish my book, without any success.
My wife shouted one evening that she had found the company to use, which was called Publishing Push.
She showed me one of Patrick's advertising videos. I looked through it and I said, "it sounds too good to be true" could be an extremely clever con" - and anyway, I don't particularly like its' name.
My wife said - if we don't take the risk with Publishing Push, what other option do we currently have and are likely to have?
This razor-sharp question cut into my Brain and I said "you're right. Let's take the risk"
It was one of the best decisions of my life!!
I have told you this story because other authors may have reacted as I did and Publishing Push may wish to address this possibility in their advertising.
My book is a factual one with the title: YOUR CONSCIOUS BRAIN, how does it all work and Why.
It comprises of 765 pages with a detailed index of 24 pages, due to the numerous chapters and sub chapters etc. It required an immense amount of time for the Proof reading, followed by the detailed formatting, checking and implementing changes as required, all of which I was involved with as required.
I found working with Publishing Push an absolute pleasure and would like to highlight Patrick (the owner) and Scott who led my project.
I would like to thank Publishing Push for the immense help they gave me, both in the process of producing the superb quality of my book and of its' publication, which was 10 months after I began working with them.
Gordon Winter.

Self-publishing made easy.

As a new author, and having spent years researching and writing a memoir, I didn't know quite where to turn when it it came to getting it published. I'm very glad that I eventually found Publishing Push and decided to self-publish with their help.

Right from my first contact with them their responses to my enquiries have been rapid and helpful. I needed my book to be proofread and formatted ready for publishing in paperback and e-book formats and I needed an eye-catching cover design. I was guided through the whole process by Kim, who did a superb job, answering my questions and organising everything very efficiently.

Three months after starting the process, my book went live on Amazon and Kindle last week. It feels like a great achievement!

The pricing of the services Publishing Push provides is transparent and competitive. Royalties will be mine and not shared as they would be with a traditional publisher.

I can thoroughly recommend Publishing Push.

Supportive staff, good quality, but slow and expensive

The staff is really helpful and kind. They communicate with transparence and they make their best to provide the right advice.

What I didn't like is i found the service a bit expensive and also a bit slow and in some cases I had to do some follow ups to get updates.

But at the end the book was published successfully and they have provided a very complete service. Quality is better than rushing.

Gravely disappointed

I am highly ambivalent about my experience with Publishing Push. While I am happy with the book I finally have in my hands (thank you), it was certainly not 'without lifting a finger' as the package blurb claims. The initial formatted drafts were full of inconsistencies and felt like they'd been rushed off with very little care or thought.
My enormous disappointment however is around the marketing side. Now it's too late, I have come to learn that PP does not - as I had mistakenly understood from their own selling of their package - include a marketing package but rather is product focussed only. While they may make your book AVAILABLE to X thousands of distribution outlets this does not necessarily translate as one single sale, or your book appearing on the shelf of one single bookshop. I am left with a beautiful book that I now have no idea how I am going to get out into the world.

Hello Natasha.

Great to hear you are pleased with your book which as you say is beautiful. The book created is excellent and I am sure readers around the world will enjoy it.

I'm sorry to hear there were a few inconsistencies but pleased to hear the team rectified these for you.

Finally I note the disappointment regarding marketing. I have just been through the communication you had during the sales process. We did supply a Publishing Guide which explains the marketing we offer and what we do not offer.

Marketing wise we do:

- share your book across our social channels (40k plus followers) just send us a picture of you with your book
- we offer a hub with links to reviewers and outlets that will review your book
- we also offer free guides as well
- we never make any guarantees around sales volume and of course that is purely down to how much readers enjoy your book
- finally we have a marketing course which we normally charge for but would be happy to share with you. Just drop us a line

The Accidental Self- Publisher

I dithered about bringing out the text of a co-translated corpus, which was the basis of an M. Phil project. Having looked at a numbers of options, I finally decided on Publishing Push, who made the experience an interesting one. I had many conversations, exchanges, edits and am now pleased to have ordered my first copy.

Very helpful

Publishing push has been a great help to get my book self published. As a new author they were able to explain in detail what was needed to get my book published to a very high standard and have a high quality book cover and illustrations on the cover to make it vibrant and inviting to the readers. They ensured they understood what I was looking for and came up with a very good cover to approve. Very helpful.

Straightforward experience and professional service.

After a little hick up in the beginning, another project manager took over my book, from then on, I couldn't complain. Very professional and kept me well informed throughout. My emails were usually replied with a day. I am very pleased with my first published novel, The Jewel of Arcturus.

Publishing Push, Absolutely Brilliant.

The team that guided me never gave less than 110% while working on my books, formatting, cover design, etc. Nothing was ever too much trouble. Helpful, considerate, and understanding every step of the way. I know people work to pay their bills, but some love the work that they do. I think that Publishing Push is the latter. They made, what was to me a daunting task, easy. A couple of months from start to finish. Brilliant. Many thanks to all involved.

Amazing!!

I had the pleasure of having Scott work with me to develop exactly what I envisioned with my book. From the very beginning Scott was attentive and honest with each of my requests, came up with suggestions which often improved my thoughts. Scott was very patient and polite throughout and delivered responses in a very timely manor- even whilst abroad! I am truly happy with the finished results and those who have read it haven given amazing reviews! I defiantly picked the right publishers to help bring my dreams a reality. Thank you to all the team and the designers of my front cover for bringing what started as a thought - to actual reality. I am one happy author :-D (feels good to say/write that!)

I agree with Jenny and her problems

I agree with Jenny and her problems. It has been the same with me re: the IngramSparks fiasco. This book launch is repeatedly being pushed back. Some of it is partly due to me as I have memory and confusion issues following a stroke and other factors some three years ago. How many times do I need to hammer home the fact that I cannot access the IngramSparks site. This venture has cost me 2 grand of my meagre compensation money. Not at all happy.

DO NOT GIVE THIS COMPANY YOUR MONEY!!!!

DO NOT GIVE THIS COMPANY YOUR MONEY!!!!
It has been 3 months since publishing my book with Publishing push and it has been nothing but stress, hard work and loss of sales. Firstly, they advertise 'global account distribution setup' but what they don't tell you is that most of these online outlets will only upload the picture of your front cover. It will not contain a synopsis so customers don't know what they are buying but also for the first 2 months until I made them aware it was advertised in the wrong category.
Secondly, I have never been able to get into a KDP account as for some reason it has been blocked. After countless emails to the project manager kris it still wasn't getting sorted so I tried to contact KDP myself, but as the account was created by publishing push they will not give me any details and advise I go back to the publishers. I continued to try and correspond with Publishing push but they stopped returning emails.I eventually got a response from Patrick Walsh (CEO) and he changed my project manager. Ben was really helpful and started to make changes by re-categorising my book and trying to contact KDP. But after time I had to do the chasing and it seemed only after an email from me saying "another weeks past any update?" that there was another correspondence which before too long pretty much came to a stop again. So 2 months down the line, frustrated, stressed and upset I put up a bad review. Patrick quickly got in touch and was confident he could get this issue sorted if I would take down the review. I agreed to do so for 1 month to allow him to sort the issue. In that month I have only had one correspondence from Publishing Push to inform me that to have my synopsis uploaded with the book I will have to pay Neilsen £75.
Patrick openly told me in an email that they have had this problem with KDP a few times so I am not the first and doubt I'm the last and that the synopsis not attached is happening to a vast array of titles. My book has been for sale for 3 months and I have no idea how many books have been sold on Amazon or even if I am going to get paid! Patrick has also tried to convince me none of these issues are the fault of publishing push, I do appreciate the issues are with other companies but these are companies they have agreed to work alongside and convince the writer that this is the best option for a self- publishing package and happy to take your money knowing about these issues.
The month is up. I still have no account and no correspondence so here is my very honest review, where I am even more saddened, frustrated and upset than before. Publishing Push I signed a contract with you, you have mis-sold the package and haven't completed your contract I am following with further action

Hi Jenny,

I tried to call you a couple of times today but you were unavailable. I have left a voicemail for you.

We also sent over an email but haven't received a reply from you.

1/ I have just logged in to your Ingram Spark account to check that its all working which it is. (have sent your login details and instructions in the email we sent you)

You can see your book's availability on Ingram and monitor sales as well. This is the main and most important account.

2/ KDP has been an issue and your account did get locked. It actually got locked twice. My team has tried to get these unlocked for you but Amazon won't tell us why and we can't access it either.

The only reason we create a KDP account is to ensure better availability of your book on the Amazon platform. Amazon can be naughty when books come from other distributors and not their own - they sometimes prioritise books on their own platform. We double up to stop this from happening for our authors. Ingram distributes to KDP anyway so your books are available on Amazon just to put your mind at ease.

Nevertheless, Ben is going to create a new KDP for you and re-upload everything just to ensure it is all belt and braces for you.

3/ The Nielsen service is frustrating. Unless an author subscribes to the enhanced service Nielsen won't submit all of your books information (categories, synopsis, etc) to all of the retailers we send the book to.
We have liaised with Nielsen to create a better service for our authors.

Nielsen just charge a small fee for this enhanced service. We don't make any money from this at all. Its just a nominal fee of £75.00 (have sent details via email).

We did email you on the 22nd of August about this but didn't receive a reply from you.

Any other questions do let me know and I am also happy to discuss on the phone with you.

My first book was Know Your Sheep which…

My first book was Know Your Sheep which was published 14 years ago by Old Pond Publishing of Ipswich, they published 18 of the 20 books plus variations for the USA market. Old Pond Publishing was possibly a small publisher by today's standards but they were experts in publishing, they lived and loved books. The owner decided to retire and sold the business and nothing was ever the same. I wrote another two books, Know the Wildlife of Central Park and Statues of New York City, and I decided to find a new publisher. For two years I contacted numerous publishers and only two had the courtesy to reply. I contacted Publishing Push, it was a pleasant surprise to find a publisher with the courtesy to reply, a rarity in the publishing world. May I say, in the opinion of a mature ‘gentleman’, if you are a first-timer or an old-timer contact Publishing Push, and you will receive a courteous, honest and professional opinion.

Jacobs Journey by Michael Hadley

Where to begin. ? After I wrote my book Jacobs Journey I searched for a copy editor , found one , and then after 12 weeks of a terrible experience was back to square one. Dejected and lost I flung my book to the side. Then months later whilst online an advert for Publishing push popped up. A quick phone call later and the wheels were set in motion. And what a smooth , comfortable ride it has been. Everything dealt with the utmost professionalism and attentive care to detail. Scott was assigned to me. And I cannot praise him enough. Meticulous to understanding my vision for my book he threw himself into producing a finished article along with his team. Julie , who edited my book was outstanding. Quick and informative with a level of pure understanding of the characters and storyline. She invested in her work above and beyond. When it came down to my design of the cover , Scott was completely invested as if he himself had a stake in what I had created. Taking onboard all my wishes and pushing with utmost intent to get a finished article. The artists just kept plugging away until a compromise was achieved. Full respect to all involved , for a job that excelled, for the personal investment each gave. And for making Jacobs Journey come to life. Top marks all around. I thank you from the bottom of my heart. And Jacobs Journey part 2 will be brought back to you all , as soon as I get started on it. Xxxxx

Publishing my first book.

I have recently published my first ever book called, Mistress - The Secret Desire, and I did it with the help of Publishing Push.

After searching for a long time, I finally decided to give Publishing Push a try and they did not disappoint. From the very first phone call I made to them, they were very helpful. They explained the process very well, helped me with the book cover, copy editing and even uploading it to KDP & Ingram.

I intend on writing a sequel, and will most certainly use Publishing Push again.

My First Book

As a first-time indie author, I was clueless about the whole publishing process. I needn’t have worried because picking Publishing Push was the best thing I could have done.

From the outset, Scott and Julie in particular, and the team held my hand, explaining things in plain language and helping me along the way. Seemingly, nothing was too much trouble for these guys and the expertise and work they put in, brings great value for the indie author.

They guided me through the exhausting but crucial proof reading and editing stages of my first book in the Driveway Warrior series, and the finished product is one to be proud of.

I’m delighted how my non-fiction book Driveway Detailing Warrior has turned out and I will be using this excellent company for my second book in the Driveway Warrior series.

I do not hesitate to recommend them whole heartedly. Thank you Publish Pushing 😊
