In 1998, Propstore founder Stephen Lane’s love for movies led him to hunt for the same props and costumes used to create his favorite films. He found that he could provide collectors with access to their most coveted pieces and establish archival standards for this new, pop-culture hybrid of fine art and memorabilia collecting - prop art.

Since 2014, Propstore has regularly hosted live auctions featuring some of the world’s greatest Entertainment Memorabilia treasures. Propstore specializes in film and television props and costumes, production materials, and artwork, as well as music memorabilia, posters, and collectible toys. Propstore also holds regular online auctions in association with many of the industry’s major production materials and has over 5,000 items available for sale via Buy Now on www.propstore.com.

Upset is an understatement

First off just want to say that I have bought from propstore a few times before and have never had any issues with them. This auction seemed no different. Everything went smooth and they helped work out a payment issues I was having. But after that is where things went downhill. First it took them over a month to ship the item. I would inquire every week or two on the status and was always told we are backed up give us time. Ok no worries I get that just had an auction. But then I saw they had another auction. Which seems reckless to add more items to ship if you haven’t caught up on the other items. Few weeks after that I saw a notification for another auction. So that’s when I sent an email about how it has now been over a month since I paid for my item and still nothing on the shipping side. The next day I received an email stating that my item had shipped and gave me a tracking number. This was approximately 2 weeks ago. It has been sitting in customs for over 10 days now. They did not supply all the paperwork to customs so it will not be shipped to me until all the paperwork is provided. I have reached out to them again on email and have received no reply. I understand that it is the holidays so will reach out again next week. But I can’t help feeling this is intentional after I sent the email expressing how I upset I was with their company. Hopefully this is resolved soon. I gave them 2 stars because in the beginning they were helpful, now not so much.

I am sorry to learn that you were having issues with our service, this is not the high standards that we strive for.

There are a lot of orders immediatly after the Auction which can cause some delay in the shipping department. Many of the items require specilist packaging and can take time to pack the right way. We do our best to pack all items as diligently as possible without sacrificing quality of work.

Often packages get stopped to ask for a 5106 form from the customer to import the package into the country. They do send this by docusign to the email that we supply them. The last few times I have bought…

The last few times I have bought something over the last few months I have had many problems with Propstore, the shipping times are excessively long (always more than a month) and I always have to insist a thousand times to make the shipment or they forget completely. In addition, they do not always respond to emails and when they do it is to give excuses but without solving the problems.

Nice little bundle of treasures

I bought from PS before so I predicted already a good experience with them and I was right.

Disappointing, poor customer service

Inquiries regarding further action after the purchase were answered after 2 weeks. After a problem with the item was reported, all friendliness disappeared and they just referred to paragraphs without helping. Very disappointing.

As always packing is superb

As always packing is superb! From a purchase at your LA shop the same packaging is received, and offering me to make several interest free payments allowed me to purchase more!
Pleased with all the Jurassic Park/Jurassic World props and items that have been added to my collection, which are and will be on display at the new Indiana Dinosaur Museum in South Bend, IN.

Propstore is mostly a great experience but could improve

Propstore for the most part is a great experience. Everything is authentic with documentation. It would be much better if they offered multiple COA’s for lots with multiple items upon request so that you wouldn’t lose your documentation if you sold only one or two of the items in that lot. The shipping times are very long and communication could use some work however they are very knowledgeable and helpful when you have a question.

Be careful - payment taken, no comms for 2 weeks since

Ordered a gift to be in time for Birthday/Christmas on 1 Dec. Got email confirmation and payment taken but silence since. Be careful if ordering to any specific deadlines given time of year.
Edit/update: after emailing their support team in Uk and US again they picked up and used their premium post option to get this to me 48 hours after acknowledging the email. It was still late but once contact established they responded well. The item is in perfect condition.
