The last resume I wrote was 20 years ago. COVID-19 suddenly put me in the job market again and I felt lost. I applied for a couple of jobs with an updated version of my 2001 resume and heard NOTHING...not even a confirmation message that the document had been received. After talking with a friend, I learned something which made me feel helpless and angry at the same time. Did you know after submitting an online resume, it is sent through some sort of computer system tasked to look for “key words”? If your resume doesn’t contain enough of these buzz words, your resume falls into the abyss and is never even SEEN by those who make hiring decisions.
So I started looking for help. After reviewing several agencies offering assistance, and not having a lot of money to spend, I found promotedresume.com. I have one job offer already and am waiting for another on Monday!
