Great & reliable VPN service.

Today I paid the subscription they did not send the credentials and send an email after my request with 100 questions. Unbelievable in year 2026, totally not fair and not professional , therefore I asked a refund and good luck ti saluto !!

Been with PIA for 5 years now. Excellent customer service, reliable connections, wide range of international VPN servers, competitive pricing. Highly recommended by a UNIX engineer with 40 years experience.

I have a 3-year subscription and previously gave PIA a 5-star review. But now PIA is unusable.I contacted Live Chat and posted the following:

PIA worked perfectly for me for long time, but I haven't been able to use it for about three months. It would suddenly begin to disconnect, try to reconnect, unsuccessfully, time after time, and I had no internet connection. Worse, when I'd close PIA, I STILLhad no internet connection. I had to reboot my computer after setting PIA not to automatically connect. Then I'd again have internet connection via my ISP. This happened on two different computers.

I tried completely uninstalling PIA, which is no easy task on Linux. After I researched how to do it, no thanks to PIA and small task on Linux, it took numerous steps via the Terminal. Then I reinstalled the latest version of PIA. Still the same problem.

I'm currently using the free version of Proton VPN with no problems.

I recently tried PIA again. Same problem.

If you can't give me an easy solution, I'll not be able to use PIA during the rest of my subscription and will report the issue accordingly to Trustpilot.

In the chat, I made it clear that connecting was not the issue, but staying connected is. He offered troubleshooting tips. I asked him to email them to me. Here are the suggestions:

"He wrote: Let's troubleshoot the issue by changing your ports and protocols into the following combinations below. After every change, re-attempt connecting to the VPN.  This is to try which ones work best with your network.

Mervin, the tech, completely misunderstood the issue. The steps he suggested were to change my ports and protocols. Again, the problem was not connecting, but staying connected.

With 436 days remaining in my subscription with PIA, goodbye PIA.

PIA has a huge number of targets and from what I've seen great speeds on all. great service.

I was forced to update my payment details by PIA before I could renew my subscription and once I did they payment failed. For some stupid reason PIA has a 15 day cooling off period before you an change the payment method again. That should be a big red flashing banner warning people before they make a change. Why is there a need for a 15 day cooling off period when there were not transactions happening?
And because of that I can't renew my subscription. And by the time I got the 15 day answer from PIA the option to sign up for three years is gone now so I am going to pay more.

I have to wait 15 days to update my payment method which is great since my subscription runs out in 12 days. Really makes it easier to go with a different vpn provider. I guess 9 years of loyalty isn't worth anything these days. Their chat bot is going around in circles saying I had an old paypal account which I have no idea what that means. Contacting the support team just gives you the same run around with lines like "Thank you for sharing your perspective. We understand your concerns and appreciate you taking the time to explain them" and "If you need assistance with anything else, we’re here to help." without ever doing anything about the issue or offering any solutions. Wasted over an hour on several chats and now responding to emails that just feel patronizing.

I hate how they raised prices by an extreme amount a year ago
