Primus Uk customer service reconciled issue
I own and use numerous Primus equipment from Stove, lamp, fuel, cooking equipment and utensils. They’ve proven to be well designed, stylish, practical and reliable. Well, I wanted a gas heater for the garden and camping, so why not Primus!? I found the Primus Loke, whilst it’s primarily designed for primus 2006 - 2012 bottles, the site and other listings clearly state it can be used with the campingaz 907 which is reinforced within the manual illustrating the details on adding an adaptor. So, good to go. NO! Loke arrived, no adaptor included so contacted Primus who advised I refer to a particular adapter (Not the one illustrated in the manual). Ok, I had one from a Primus stove. Here’s where the issues are. Theres no other way than asserting force to remove the part from the Loke adaptor that actually appears glued into the regulator, it’s not designed to come out!!! So from what I believe was the wrong advice, I’ve a damaged valve on a useless heater!
UPDATE: I managed to release the valve but had to apply heat, and the recommended adapter surely fits but it’s not meant to have been used! Problem!!! the regulator/diaphragm must be damaged as it ignited.
Credit where it’s due, Customer service phoned me directly and advised they now know the Loke is not suitable for the UK as the specific adapter is not available and so advised to return for a full refund. Thank you Susy!
