Rechazo injustificado de tarjeta, represalias y abandono con un niño de 4 años
Evitad Pricecarz si viajáis a Rumanía. En el mostrador, el personal afirmó que mi tarjeta física Visa Revolut era "inválida" para la fianza por no tener números en relieve. Nos condicionaron a contratar su seguro premium de 387€ para no dejarnos sin coche. Paradójicamente, usaron esa misma tarjeta supuestamente "inválida" en su propio datáfono para cobrarme los 387€.
Según la normativa oficial "Visa Europe merchant guide for car rental companies", los comercios tienen prohibido rechazar tarjetas lisas. He notificado esta infracción de reglas de comercio directamente a Visa y Mastercard, y he iniciado una disputa bancaria (Chargeback).
Lo peor ocurrió tras el primer alquiler: pedí educadamente un documento estándar para tramitar una reclamación con mi banco. Como represalia por pedir ese documento, la dirección me metió en secreto en una lista negra y canceló mi segunda reserva sin avisar.
Al llegar a por el segundo coche, nos notificaron la cancelación y nos dejaron literalmente tirados en la calle con nuestro hijo de 4 años, mientras los empleados se reían de nuestra situación. Tuvimos que llamar a la Policía Rumana, aunque al ser un conflicto civil no pudieron intervenir en el acto.
He llevado el caso al Centro Europeo del Consumidor. Una gestión inaceptable y una falta total de empatía con familias.

Valid card rejected, retaliation, and stranded with a 4-year-old child
Avoid Pricecarz when traveling to Romania. At the desk, staff claimed my physical Revolut Visa card was "invalid" for the security deposit because it lacked raised numbers. They threatened to leave us without a vehicle unless we purchased their premium insurance for €387. Ironically, they processed that exact same "invalid" card on their terminal to charge the insurance fee.
According to the official "Visa Europe merchant guide for car rental companies", merchants are strictly forbidden from rejecting flat/unembossed cards. I have reported this merchant rules violation to Visa, Mastercard, and initiated a chargeback through my bank.
The situation escalated after our first rental when I politely requested a standard document to file a claim with my bank. In response, management secretly blacklisted me and canceled my second reservation without notice.
When we arrived to pick up the second vehicle, they informed us of the cancellation and left our family stranded on the street with our 4-year-old son, while staff laughed at our situation. We had to call the Romanian Police to the scene, though as a civil dispute, they could not intervene immediately.
I am escalating this case to the European Consumer Centre. Do not trust this company.

At the time of vehicle collection, you did not present an embossed credit card, which was required under the rental conditions for the package you had booked. This requirement is clearly stated in our Terms and Conditions and in the rental voucher provided prior to pick-up.
To ensure you could still collect the vehicle without the required credit card, our team offered you the **Smart Choice** package. This optional service removes the need for a security deposit and was accepted by you, allowing the rental to proceed. The package was purchased voluntarily, and the rental agreement was signed accordingly.
Regarding your complaint, you were never restricted or treated differently because you requested a complaint form. The issue arose after you requested a refund for the Smart Choice package, despite having already used the service throughout your rental period. As with any service that has been fully provided and used, it is not eligible for a refund.
We also categorically reject the allegations of fraud, coercion, or inhumane treatment. Our team follows the same procedures and policies for all customers, and all decisions are made in accordance with the rental agreement and our published Terms and Conditions.
We regret that your perception of the experience differs from ours, but we remain committed to providing transparent and professional service to all our customers.

I received a car in a lower category…
I received a car in a lower category than I have paid for.
We arrive at 21:00. The car was waiting in a different airport despite reconfirming we the office in the morning.
The fuel was about 1/8. We had to find a fuel station in the middle of the night. Not cool at all.

More or less good price but with issues
More or less good price and friendly staff. But unfortunately that didn't have reserved car available and because of that car pick took 30 min, that's way too long. From the bright side returning the car was instant. Also cleanliness of the cars are not too high, but is not big deal.
