My child usually attends a weekly football club and I put her into one day of summer holiday club. The people running the club are young, energetic and very friendly to my child and me. My child had a fun day and wanted to go back the next day which can only be a positive thing.

My 7 year old son was very nervous when he arrived as he didn't know anyone and I let the staff know this. They seemed fine with him and when I left I was happy that he would be okay, however this was not the case when I picked him up. On collection he was obviously upset. The member of staff who spoke to my husband said my son had not engaged in sessions and made a negative comment about how he should maybe try putting his crisps in his mouth and not the fingerboard skateboard he had brought with him. They also said that as he was not engaging they had offered to call us to come and collect him at lunchtime but he had said he was okay. My son had responded like this as he knew we were working and this would cause us a problem. Instead of offering to call us, as a holiday club provider who is Ofsted registered, I would have expected the staff to work to engage my son, perhaps pair him with a child so he got to know them and gained confidence. The way it was handled left my son upset as he said he was on his own all day as he didn't know anyone. He also said the staff weren't nice to him. Unfortunatley the experience has left my son not wanting to return, however he is booked in for another session this week. My husband overheard the member of staff who was there at handover say that he would not be at the sessions next week, so I am hoping I can persuade my son to go back and give it another go based on this as I have no other childcare options.
I was left disappointed and sad that my son had spent a day there feeling upset.

Harpenden Camp!

The environment at the camp was fantastic! My children really enjoyed the fun actvities and the way the day was structured. Elliot and Matthew were fantastic and made sure everyone felt included! Would rebook again!

First time holiday club for my 5 year old and coaches Sully, Freya and Olivia made the experience amazing. He loved every day!

The guys who run the club are great but there are some issues that will likely prevent my kids coming again. There is little or no consideration for kids who struggle more than others. By giving certificates out on every activity to the 'best' kids is really hard for the ones that will never reach that level. Not SEN friendly I would say. Also one of our sessions was on a really hot day, I asked in the morning and they seemed to have a really good plan in place for the heat but then it doesn't seem to have been followed, they went full on all day and my kid was utterly exhausted from it (she is super super energetic but the heat was too much). And you say it is a mixture of sports, games and art but really it is just sports, it would be more of an all round club if there were more sit down games and crafts available, it would be more accurate current to list this as a sport club.

My little girl had an amazing time at Somerford primary school, James and Lucas are lovely human beings very thoughtful and caring. ♥️

The schools need to be updated on the website said school is now an academy with a name change this needs to be changed. Especially if you don’t know the area.
Couldn’t fault the staff they were lovely. My son got such a welcome on the gate once the coach knew his name she was saying you go to ……. School

Great experience, my kids love to go

Not contacted over possible concussion. I feel bad because the lads running the place are very friendly and I believe they thought they were doing the right thing. If it's a possible concussion I should have been contacted. No ice pack applied and his face/jaw was all swollen. This happened near lunch and I collected him at 4.45. A wet paper towel would have been better than nothing!

The activities themselves my kids loved (seemed to be painting and football) and wanted to go again.

I feel so guilty sending them and won't send them again. I felt weird when I dropped them off as no introduction at all and my kids had never been.

Note to other parents the Kettering one is all indoors in a sports hall. No outdoors space although it was too hot to be outdoors anyway to be honest.

My son loves going to this club. Most times, when I pick him up, he wants to stay longer.

I am happy when I booked for my son’s activity he choose it’s pretty quick and straight forward as it says as well as my son enjoyed and love the sports he was join in and attended it to including with the staffs are very friendly and professionally approachable!😍

Very friendly staff. My daughter absolutely loved her time with them.

My twins absolutely loved summer camp, held at Bb Primary school, they spoke very highly of the staff and had such a great time.
It was our first time using the summer camp and we will definitely use again.
