Awful
Awful. Truly awful. Rude, unhelpful, offensive. When we asked for a small change to what we were given the manager came downstairs and starting telling us off. Never ever again!!

Awful. Truly awful. Rude, unhelpful, offensive. When we asked for a small change to what we were given the manager came downstairs and starting telling us off. Never ever again!!
Where to start. On arrival we were told we couldn't use the upstairs entrance and had to go round to the downstairs — no explanation, just barked at us. Not the warmest welcome.
The equipment was genuinely dangerous. Mid-run I discovered the binding on one of my skis had shifted back, meaning the ski kept releasing while going straight. When I raised this at the shop they were dismissive and didn't believe me, despite the evidence being right there on the ski. It took an argument before they finally agreed to swap them out — grudgingly, and with attitude the entire time.
My partner was initially told she could start on beginner skis and upgrade to intermediates later if she wanted. When she took them up on that offer two days in, they demanded an extra €20 in cash — a charge that was never mentioned upfront.
Rude staff, unsafe equipment, and hidden charges. I'd strongly recommend looking elsewhere.
From the beginning, the attitude of the staff was unprofessional. Several times we were asked why we had not brought our own equipment, which was both unnecessary and inappropriate considering we had paid to rent equipment from your shop. Customers should not be questioned in this way when they are using a service that is clearly offered.
Additionally, after speaking with us, the staff repeatedly began speaking to each other in French while looking at us. As we had just raised concerns about the quality of the equipment, this gave the strong impression that they were speaking negatively about us, which made the situation very uncomfortable.
We had specifically booked equipment with the option to change models. However, when we tried to do this, the staff were inconsistent in how they applied this policy. Some members of our group were allowed to change equipment without any issue, while others were told they did not have that option and were only allowed to exchange a snowboard for skis. This contradiction was very frustrating.
There was also a situation where we were told that a snowboard in a specific size was not available. After several minutes of discussion and further questioning, the staff suddenly “found” a board in the required size. When we asked why it had not been offered earlier, we were told that it was “testing equipment.” Despite this explanation, the board was then offered to us anyway, which clearly showed that providing it had been possible all along but the staff were initially unwilling to help.
I personally also had a problem with the boots, which were extremely uncomfortable. Furthermore, every pair of boots given to our group had a very strong and unpleasant smell. While we were in the shop, we also heard another group of customers complaining about exactly the same issue, which suggests that the quality and condition of the equipment is not up to an acceptable standard.
When I asked if it would be possible to try a different pair of boots because of the discomfort and smell, I was again asked why I had not brought my own boots. This response was again inappropriate, as we had paid to rent equipment and expected it to be in good condition and suitable for use.
Overall, the combination of poor equipment quality, inconsistent policies, and the dismissive attitude of the staff resulted in a very disappointing experience. I hope this feedback will be taken seriously and that improvements will be made both in the condition of the rental equipment and in the way customers are treated.
WARNING DO NOT HIRE SKIS FROM THESE PEOPLE ! My son had very minor damage to one of his skis after a week’s skiing in bad conditions- stony and not much snow. Chip out of the side of 1 ski. Even with insurance they charged us 260 Euros and threatened us with the police when we objected! This type of damage can be fixed for 30 Euros. They admitted it had happened many times this week due to the conditions but still made us pay! I would like to give zero stars but I can’t in order to post this review. Total scam - Go elsewhere!
I see a pattern here so thought to add my experience.
I hired skis last season from Precision Skis Les Arc 2000. As I left the shop I noticed one pole was badly split and so I took it back immediately which they replaced. However a couple of days later I noticed a smaller split in the other original pole. They refused to accept I hadn’t caused this and charged me 10 euros. From many other reviews I can see this company appears to hire out older and certainly in my case, already damaged equipment and then charges customers for damage when they return it. I am absolutely certain I was given two damaged poles and despite them accepting I had not damaged the first pole, which I returned immediately, they would not accept that it was therefore likely the other pole was already damage but I only noticed it later. I am a very careful skier, I have never split a pole in 30 yrs of skiing and I know for sure I did nothing that could have split a pole whilst skiing this time. I wrote a complaint to their customer services but they said there was nothing they could do, it was up to the shop….so what is their “customer service” role then?
If you hire from these people, and I would recommend you don’t, but if you do, check your equipment very carefully before leaving the shop. I certainly won’t ever use them again. Be warned!!!
Rented skis in Tignes palafour. Skis came apart after one day. Shop said we had damaged them and tried to charge us 341 euros to replace them. Then said they wouldn't issue replacements as 'you might break them too'. The ski tail had actually delaminated and split, how would we have done that? Shop not interested. Called the police who aggressively demanded payment or they would call the magistrate. If you don't want your holiday to end with an angry gendarme demanding an extortionate price for crappy skis then AVOID!!!
We hired skis and a snowboard from La Clinik in Morzine and the staff there were amazing- so helpful and friendly. The equipment was great too- would definitely recommend them
I hired some reasonable skis in Les Arcs 2000 last week for a reasonable price, they were not the best but they were cheap and the staff were friendly and helpful. I would go there again
Really old skis offered first. Ordered mid range and given two sets of really old skis. Then offered begginers skis. Feel ripped off. Ordered intermediate to advanced.
Waiting a response, obviously don't care.
On 5th February 2022 I rented skis for 6 days from Precision in Val d'Isere. The skis were OK and I returned them on 12th February and the return was accepted. I left the shop and a few moments later the man shouted to me to return and he said the skis had been damaged and I must pay. The skis he showed me were clearly damaged but these were not the skis I had returned which were in the same condition as when I had collected them. I was completely perplexed and said to him the insurance would cover any alleged damage but he told me no, the insurance would not cover this. I left the shop with him shouting he had my credit card details so I immediately cancelled the credit card.
On my return home I reported this via their website and heard nothing back.
This appeared to be an attempt to defraud me so I will never use this company again. A friend suggested I should leave a report on this site so, although one year has passed, it seems appropriate to do so. The date of my experience is shown as March 2022 but it was 12th February and this date is not accepted by Trustpilot as more than 12 months has elapsed.
Update on 12th June:
I have just read the pathetic response from Precision Ski which has taken 4 months and in no way addresses my complaint. My advice would be to avoid this company and use one of the many other companies available.

I rented a "prestigious" pair of skis when I went to le lac, I thought that the skis were old, had massive chunks out of the base and the top line and were generally rubbish in both the off piste and on the piste they couldn't hold an edge (I would assume that they hadn't been serviced for 4/5 weeks). They were the only pair of skis in the shop and I could see why ( you might as well have given me a pair of p100s,) my level is intermediate to advanced (I have an ISIA instructor badge and used to raise semi competitively when I was younger).
I don't usually hire skis but i was only out for 3/4 days so renting was easier than flying a bag over for a few days. I was really disappointed with the service as well as there was only one person in the rental shop and it took us ages to get served and I ended up fitting boots and skis which was disappointing. I won't come back to the shop.
I reached out to them and they were kind enough to provide me a £5 refund but that made it even worse as they recognize they sold be a rubbish product and couldn't be bothered to do any more.

This was the worst ski shop I've ever used. We booked our skis and they took our payment. Then when we arrived in the resort they said we have no skis, and that we should have booked earlier. They then proceeded to take 1 week to refund us as they said you should have booked earlier. Don't use this store they are awful and the staff are horrible and rude.
