I found the tests interesting and they get you thinking after doing the tests the solutions are shown and explained every I went wrong. There is alot of information behind what the test represent example what employers use that specific test is for which I found helpful .

In the recent aptitude test by Test Gorilla that I participated in, I learned quite a lot; it needs one to have an open mind, a faster reader, quick at critical and logical thinking and good at decision making.
Being a timed test with the clock ticking down so fast, it leaves the candidate with no choice, but rather to be swift at everything during the time of answering the test.
However, the test involved general information, which in my view believe is not so vital to a candidate preparing to join a particular organization. For instance, in the recent test where I was being tested to qualify for employment with Uganda Revenue Authority (URA), I was left in disbelief as no single question relating to the Uganda Tax Body appeared anywhere in the entire exam.

I also encourage you to always share with prospective candidates some of your practice tests at a free cost. This will enable many job seekers to have a clear view of how the current and modern format of aptitude tests appear. In so doing, they will be better prepared to face the challenge ahead, instead of appearing for the first time to attempt unfriendly preemployment tests.

Well set questions. Although I saw that I had 100 minutes to finish I panicked with the first count down. The first few questions to do with calculating hours were very difficult therefore it took me time to set my mind and thoughts right. At 1st was using a phone to calculate but this was harder. Overall gave me good practice.

It's self explanatory, I've been missing opportunities for employment as I didn't understand the logic behind the verbal cognitive situation reasoning tests. But now I do, I'll keep practicing.

Great platform

I liked the fact that it is timed as if am writing a real exam, which would make me really prepared when taking a real one

I found the test practical. The questions are not difficult. But it is hard to work out the exact numbers in given time period.

I took a situation based test and was presented with Realistic and fairly complicated situations which can help discover the best decision makers.

It is a bit complex and difficult but I like the fact that it increases my analytical skills and give me a sample clue on how an analytic skills test looks like.

Very poor website. Unfortunately I bought the 12 month access for £39 thinking this would be great value for practicing for graduate schemes. The free test seemed okay however once I had paid and started doing more tests I was very disappointed.

The numerical tests were littered with errors e.g. no correct response option, incorrect answers set as the correct answer, very unhelpful workings out. A few questions did not actually contain the information needed to answer the question.

The verbal reasoning tests were odd too. Either basic reading comprehension skills or just bizarre. Again, not helpful for practicing the tests for employers.

The logical / diagrammatic reasoning tests were too formulaic. Once you had done a few, you would be able to do them all.

The situational judgement ones were either far too easy or too difficult with no good explanation in the marking.

Overall I would say it was a total waste of £39, it didn’t help at all for graduate scheme tests. If you’re applying for a grad scheme you will be needing to practice doing these in a timed setting and with good quality materials and fully explained answers.

Sadly I used this site and when I did my first proper grad scheme numerical and verbal reasoning from a consulting firm, I was completely unprepared. I recommend using Job Test Prep instead as the quality of materials are much better and the marking gives a full explanation of the correct answers. For situational judgement tests it fully explains the merits and weaknesses of each option and which traits are demonstrated, which allowed me to learn a lot more. It is more expensive however it is worth it compared to this.

Also you have to sign in via generating an email link and this always takes ages. Don’t know why you can’t just use a username and password.

Unfortunately the T&Cs of the site mean it is non-refundable - despite the shocking quality of the maths tests! The only option for refunds is if you can prove that the industry tests were significantly different from theirs & they decide whether the criteria is met. They ask you to provide examples however you are not allowed to take away copies of employer tests. There’s nothing about refunds if the tests are faulty. Just seems like a dodgy site all round and there is a reason it is so much cheaper than the others (Assessment Day, Job Test Prep etc). Avoid!

The test has an overall genuine nature of testing ones ability and what we comprehend from such situations and scenarios.

Some of the employer packages aren't really accurate, the practice test format does not reflect the actual test so its not really helpful. I was really hoping to practice SHL cognitive ability test, however again it was not reflective in terms of the format of questions nor did it match the difficulty. I wouldn't recommend, it did help me brush up my numerical skills slightly hence the 2 stars but overall I’m not happy with my purchase.

An overall viewpoint about aptitude test

The test is modernized with the support of technology, I can easily identify and conduct the works. The test also provides a free practice test with answer key for your revision. Hope the question bank will grow more for me to practice and develop my skills.

hmmmm since I'm a IT guy so for me it wasnt too relevant ... However, this will now push me to learn some math stuff for sure

Useful tracking feature

There’s a really nice dashboard for tracking performance which I found particularly helpful. It was encouraging to see that I was making progress and that spurred me on to keep going.

It was useful to have both practice and timed testing options too. I used the practice tests when focusing on my weaker areas and then did the occasional timed test to check performance. Strangely I did worse in the timed tests when I started. Even though I knew only I would see the results, the countdown did put the pressure on. Over time I improved and better managed my time as I worked through the tests.

I’ve had to do aptitude tests all summer and it’s absolutely not my strength. I’m not bad at the verbal ones, but really struggle with the numerical and situational judgment tests. This site has been great as it has loads of both to practice. I’m still getting lots wrong, but my scores have started to improve and I’ve now been invited to some final stage interviews. This wasn’t something that was happening before!!!

The platform is super easy to use and the solutions are really helpful. Would highly recommend to anyone applying to grad schemes who are struggling with assessments like me.

Oh, and the personality assessments are fun. My whole family has had a go at them.

The test was a challenge. On the plus side, it is boosting my confidence to know that I am throwing in a bit of practice.

I found that the test itself and the texts used were easy to navigate, which rendered the identification of information requested by the subsequent questions a fairly straightforward procedure.

I am not so familiar with aptitude test, but find this very useful. I believe I will require more practice tests to understand the logic behind the answers. I will also appreciate if the result of my practice aptitude test could be shared with me.
