I loved Hammer 90!
I’ve followed some form of structured training for years, including Power Athlete programming for the last several. I joined the Hammer 90 challenge because I wanted the added accountability of a coach and a community and I wanted to see real body composition changes, not just a number on the scale.
That’s exactly what happened.
I dropped 4% body fat, gained a pound of muscle, and I’m the leanest and strongest I’ve ever been, even after two babies and years of weight fluctuations.
If you stick to the program and actually practice the habits we talk about each week, the results come. It really is that simple. But simple isn’t easy, so thankfully there was a team of great coaches and group of other motivated people going through the challenge. Without the community, this wouldn’t have happened.
It’s more than just losing weight. It’s about learning how to train, fuel yourself, and build habits that last long after the challenge ends, the kind that help you stay accountable in your day to day life.
Hammer90 works.
I had been following PA programs off and on for a while, namely Field Strong, Jacked Street and Grindstone. I decided to give Hammer90 a whirl. It works. Although, because I started at a high BF %, over 20%, the results were not exactly what I expected. I lost 15+ lbs but not all of it was body fat. I’m visibly smaller but not in a good way. In fact I’ve been told that even though I can see and an ab or 2 that I am still around 20% body fat. ☹️. If you are thinking of starting this program it’s best if you’re already at or below 15% BF. The others in the group had amazing results when starting with a lower bodyfat %. The nutritional habit stacking was great and I learned a lot about my own nutrition. The workouts were also top notch as usual. Worth a try, but manage your expectations.

Just completed the Power Athlete Hammer 90 program with great results. I was able to shed 30 pounds all while continuing to set strength PR's in the gym. If you buy into the process and commit fully you will see dramatic body composition changes. As important education is provided on how to continue being successful after the program concludes.
I can't thank the Power Athlete crew enough and highly recommend this program to anyone willing to make the commitment.
I completed Hammer90 as a way of seeing my potential
I completed Hammer90 as a way of getting back in to all things ‘me’ I had pre-kids. It had been 6 years since I’d properly followed a training regime and dedicated time back to myself to prioritise movement and food.
Finishing Hammer90 6+ weeks ago and I’ve continued the habits set in place. The crew eased us week by week in to setting some very realistic habits and were SO responsive to questions and comments on discord. The onus was not focussed on ‘weight loss’ but transformation in many forms - but also holding us accountable to our own actions, helped keep me on track.
I’d absolutely recommend the program and Power Athlete as a whole.

Hammer 90 is a very powerful program to gain strength, muscle in conjunction with fat loss. I lost 20lbs and gained strength on all the major lifts. If you follow the programming and the diet you'll make huge changes in 3 months while learning life long skills to craft the body you want.

Hammer90 is the most success I have had with transforming myself through diet, training and accountability. Rather than just assigning you macros and sending you on your way, Ben and the coaches specifically designed the program to give you actionable habits to stack week to week and ensure your long term success.
The training is second to none, and going through the program with other similar, like minded folks gave me a level of unparalleled accountability.
Hammer90 gave me the tools to achieve body composition goals I didn’t think were attainable and to ensure that success continues.
Over 20 lbs dropped with Hammer 90
I lost over 20 lbs with Hammer 90. I’m experienced in cutting - having done it successfully and unsuccessfully on my own, in groups, and with online coaching. I’ve even tried Insta-influencer’s challenges.
Hammer 90 combines the best of these methods and cuts out the BS - the convenience and accessibility of online coaching, accountability and camaraderie of groups, and competitiveness of challenges. It sets itself apart from the rest with the wisdom of Power Athlete’s training, nutrition, and coaching. Out of everything I’ve tried, Hammer 90 has been the easiest cut I’ve ever done.

Doing Hammer90 as a personal challenge, I was able to get down 20lbs and single digit body fat at 46 years old. I followed the nutritional plan and workout and the results were there, its nice getting people's reaction, while not doing usual ultra dieting and endless cardio.

While I’ve been following PowerAthlete for years, and have “dieted” off and on trying to lean out, I decided to take dropping body fat seriously and signed up for Hammer90.
What was immediately clear about Hammer90 was that it wasn’t going to be a normal dieting routine of just strictly counting calories. It was about building habits and a programming of hypotrophy training.
The habit building works as I dropped from 195 to 172. My strength either maintained or I was hitting PRs the entire time.
To help with the cut and accountability we did it as a cohort. Having others going through the same process allowed us to lean on each other when the cut got tough.

Power Athlete is a great program that has helped me improve my strength and athleticism. I have followed a few different programs that they offer which includes Dragon Slayer Field Strong and Hammer 90. All of them have been great and is hands down the best workout programs offered.
Hammer90 reminded me who I am
Hammer90 returned to me my identity as an athlete which I had lost between covid and having children, besides losing 23lb and keeping it off (so far) the program reminded me how much I love Power Athletes programs, eating good food and banging heavy weights daily. Absolutely would run it again.

Only do this if you want to get f'in strong and fit
I am very pleased with the results I've gotten out of Power Athlete. It's a combination of:
- Hard work
- Consistency
- Fantastic programming on Johnnie WOD & BOD.
Results in 4 months:
- I've gone up a whole t-shirt size
- My dead hang pullups (legit pull-ups, no kipping nonsense or half a rep bs: elbows locked out, chin over the bar) has gone from 8 to 16 despite adding almost 15 pounds of muscle
- I can finally bench over 225# *close grip* for the first time in 10 years (for multiple reps)
- I feel damn good and look better too
- People who haven't seen me in a while ask me "What are you doing?"

Great programming, great feedback
Training programs are excellent and the discord group is really great to connect with others, learn more, and get feedback on your lifts. I lost 15lbs and added literally hundreds of pounds on my lifts (admittedly I was a novice to start with) in 9 months.

Amazing programming for athletes from high performers to average joes! I was introduced to PA in 2018 and haven’t looked back since. As a Firefighter, PA has given me the strength and movement needed to do the job and walk away without injury. The change in body composition has lead to numerous peers asking what I do in the gym and then hopping on board the PA train, to the point that our department is paying for over 40 FF’s, hopefully doubling that next year, to have access to PA.
