I am writing to formally raise a complaint regarding my recent experience at your Power store at Vejlevej 257C, Kolding, on 7 April 2026 (around 15:00) and 8 April 2026 (around 16:00). I have attached my receipt for reference.
I chose to visit your store based on its strong reputation for Apple products. However, my experience has involved misinformation, price inconsistency, and lack of accountability, which I find unacceptable.
On 7 April, I visited your store to explore purchasing options. I was informed that the iPhone 17 Pro was unavailable for 2-3 weeks. I then asked about the iPhone 17 Pro Max and was clearly told that it was available for 9,999 DKK, which was significantly cheaper than other retailers.
On 8 April, I returned to make the purchase. At this point, I was informed that the price was 10,999 DKK, a difference of 1,000 DKK from what I had been told the previous day. I did not receive any explanation for this discrepancy, which raises concerns about the accuracy of information provided to customers.
Before completing the purchase, I spoke with a staff member at the support desk, Lucas (I'm not sure if this is the name but starts with an L), and explained that I had not yet backed up my iPhone 15 Pro (256 GB) and asked what my options were. Based on this, he proposed a process in which I could:
Purchase the new phone
Transfer my data
Reset my old phone
Sell it to Power
Return the new phone (with data transferred)
Redeem points and repurchase the new phone
He clearly confirmed that this was possible and assured me he would assist me after the purchase.
Based on this guidance, I proceeded to purchase the iPhone 17 Pro Max for 11,123 DKK, which is a significant expense for me as an international student. As a consumer, I expect accurate and consistent information when making a high-value purchase decision.
However, when I returned to the support desk after purchase, I was informed by the store manager that none of this process was possible due to store policy. This is a policy that should reasonably be known and communicated correctly by all staff members.
Instead, I was given only two options:
Proceed with a trade-in for points (which are not useful to me, as I do not intend to make another large purchase), or
Sell my phone elsewhere
When I questioned why I had been given incorrect and misleading information, I was told that Lucas was not responsible for such queries and had only been covering them temporarily. This response reflects a clear lack of accountability.
To be clear, I did not propose this process myself - I relied entirely on the guidance provided by your staff. I made a high-value purchase based on that information. Had I been given accurate information, I would not have proceeded in the same way.
As a customer, it is not acceptable that I am now expected to bear the inconvenience of correcting a situation caused by misinformation from your team.
Given the circumstances, I request a fair resolution. This may include a price adjustment to the originally quoted 9,999 DKK and/or an exception to facilitate the trade-in process as originally explained to me.
I would appreciate a prompt response and resolution to this matter within the next few days.

I ordered laptop online and within 30-40 mins I have got a message that I can pick it up. It was great that I had an option to pay when I pick up ordered item. On arrival just gave my phone number and paid for the laptop. It was first and very easy to order online. And very cool that I can pay at the store.
