Extreme caution advised

I had previously bought these bags and when I saw an offer for 50% off last week I placed an order.
Day 1 email - order confirmed with thanks.
Day 2 email 1 - thanking me for being a returning customer. I responded as I thought it was a nice touch.
Day 2 email 2 - confirmation that my order is on the way, inviting me to track my shipment, which I didn’t.
Day 6 email 1 - hoping I’ve received my products and had a chance to try them but to let them know if I haven’t. It goes on to tell me they will be in touch soon to offer me some connected freebies. It then goes on to ask me to leave a review, not sure where they post those, but perhaps I should be reassured that they take product feedback VERY seriously.
Day 6 email to them informing them I had not yet received my purchases.
Day 6 email 2 - 'Thanks very much for your order.
I'm sure you were looking forward to receiving these. However, we've printed your order, and came to ship today- to find we are well short of the number we expected to have available.
They've been a victim of their own success (and due to the 50% off) and it has just taken us over the amount we had available.
So, we have to refund you, I'm afraid. I'm sorry about this.
I know you had a shipping confirmation too. This is generated automatically when we print orders.
We were certain of having enough so I am disappointed to let you down like this.
This said, I'm grateful for your confidence and support. If we re-stock we'll be sure to let you know.
All the best,'
Day 6 email 3 - a refund notice.
Day 6 second email to them that I don’t want them to let me know when they restock.
Why would I want to deal with them when this is how they think is okay to conduct business?
At the time I write this, the same offer they say they cannot fulfil still shows on their website.
Indeed, if they mean what they wrote in their email, they are offering something for sale that they say they don’t have and don’t know if they are going to restock.
Be extremely cautious.

AVOID

Horrible, unreliable customer service. Never received my order. Contacted the company numerous times via their contact form and via direct email to notify them and try to rectify the problem. After being ignored, and still not being in possession of my order, I requested a full refund. I never heard from the company. They still have my money and I still don’t have what I paid for. Avoid this brand at all costs. There are plenty of reusable bags available elsewhere, opt for one of those sources instead.

We were sorry to see this scathing review having served thousands of customers flawlessly and so feel compelled to give a complete picture. While, also, apologising for seemingly leaving Sarah in the dark.

We have also endeavoured to fix this and politely asked if the situation had been resolved to Sarah's satisfaction- at which point we were informed that this was a bid to force her to write an untruthful review instead. It was not- it was an effort to try to resolve the situation and a chance for the customer to let others know it was resolved. This seems to be the point of review platforms if they have any purpose to serve in society.

The goods were sent and not received in early July. The first email sent was replied to within 24 hours. As we were about to close the business for a time (due to re-thinking due Covid), we immediately arranged dispatch of another set.
Hermes emailed the customer at this point.
We were then unable to get a collection- repeatedly they failed to collect- again this should have been on automated emails to our customer, from Hermes.
Instead we used Royal Mail. We sent the bags first class after this frustrating experience.

We closed for a couple and also migrated email servers at the end of July We were not advertising and showed nil stock online. Unfortunately during this time Sarah had already emailed and we had not seen it.

Regardless, we had shipped the second set of two bags and moved on.
Sarah was not "ignored" as is implied above. We were not taking new orders and believed the matter settled.

It was on seeing this review in August that made us realise we had not replied to messages looking for an update at the end of July. But, the bags would surely have arrived.

I have since initiated a refund on the order- I wrongly communicated this to Sarah sooner- where in fact only a postage refund had been made.

We did attempt to ask if the matter had been resolved- to-date not knowing if the bags arrived. But the order has been refunded and we have repeatedly apologised and sought to rectify the matter following the gap in communications.

The number of five star reviews held on the product testifies to the fact that we do not ignore customers purposefully and there would be nothing more stupid than to try to build a brand based on treating customers with contempt.

Again, apologies to Sarah for the treatment, and we believe the matter is now settled.
