Poole & Wimborne Woodland Burial Ground Reviews 

From the moment of the death of our mother, Poole and Wimborne Woodland Burial Ground took the reins and made everything as smooth as possible given the very difficult circumstances.

A special mention goes to Natascha who dealt with all the details as sensitively and professionally as possible. Also Mel the celebrant, whose warmth and kindness was a great comfort on the day. She was so genuine and caring, it helped the family enormously. And not to forget the limousine drivers who were also very kind and clearly so proud of their roles.

The actual woodland burial ground is incredibly beautiful; the undertakers carried out the final ceremony with wonderful respect.

We have a lovely place to visit mum forever now and the day will endure in our hearts and make our loss less severe.

The funeral service for my husband was on Tuesday 29th July.

The whole team are lovely people. They were understanding, considerate, respectful, empathetic, caring, the kindness , they all showed towards me and my family was unbelievable .

My husband’s service was beautiful, the service was approximately, 1 hour. The music I asked to be played, was by Alicia keys. My husband took me to see her in concert a few years ago in Paris. ( it was very special for me). I had a few songs played, my husband loved the hymn ‘ Jerusalem) from school days. It was played and myself and others sung along also.

The Celebrant Mel, was professional , I couldn’t have asked for a more caring person to lead the service. Graham, was old school , my husband I know 100% would love the way he was and the pall bearers. Graham is a kind person, he made me feel at ease on the day ( two of pall bearers were ladies, it was great to see that) times have evolved.

Neil, he is so kind, such a gently person, he drove the buggy to the burial site. The final resting place place for my husband. Where my husband is laid to rest is beautiful. Apple blossom tree next year, if I remember correctly will be placed on my husband to grow and blossom 🙂

Natasha, Tash her colleagues know her by. What can I say, we started this process with her, I couldn’t have done this without her. Her wealth of knowledge, professionalism, kindness . Natasha went out of her way to organise the day for me and my family,

I could go on . Natasha, ( Jo, I’ve forgotten her correct name, I think) she works along side Tash. Marie, Neil, Graham, Alex, Mel the Celebrant. Sorry if I missed anyone. I know I have spoken to a few others . Behind the scenes staff, landscapers who look after the grounds.

Every single one of you made, my family, extended family, friends feel very special.

Lovely site, very helpful and lovely staff.

All staff were courteous, understanding and helpful.
We have a large number of quite young grandchildren, all of whom were upset and confused by their lively grandfather’s sudden death. The fact that they were able to ride on the buggy really helped to lighten the occasion - as did all the space, trees and wildlife around.

They were very helpful and comforting at our time of loss. We had a prepaid plot and funeral plan. However the plaque took 4 months to arrive, I had chased it up ,despite being paid for, after 8 weeks following the burial, so a bit disappointing in that respect, I think it was forgotten.

Excellent personal service and caring staff. Nothing was too much! Many thanks.

The staff at the Woodland Burial Ground were very helpful always ensuring all went to plan. Particular thanks to Janice Scott who made sure the resting place for my wife was perfect.

The internment was conducted by an excellent celebrant provided by P&W WBG which made the experience less onerous and allowed some individuality in how it was conducted which included clapping in a dignified and respectful manner.

Very friendly staff who did everything possible to help us throughout this difficult time. Nothing was too much trouble for Marie and Neil.

I did not use the burial ground for our funeral service but just for the burial of ashes. The grounds are lovely and looked even more beautiful on the one day of snow that we had! It feels so peaceful and close to nature there, just what we wanted. I found the staff to be kind, friendly and helpful.

I have been very pleased with the whole service I received from Poole and Wimborne Woodland burial for my Mum. The celebrant they chose for me was excellent too.

What an amazing service and support we were given from Marie at Poole & Wimborne Woodland Burial Ground.
From our initial meeting to arrange the funeral she helped me and my son enormously in what was such a daunting task. Nothing was too much trouble. She was there for every small detail and all of our worries and concerns were dealt with immediately. All of the family were so pleased.
The service on Friday went perfectly. It was a beautiful day in beautiful surroundings.
We have pre purchased two ashes plots as we felt this is where we wanted to be in the future.
Both me and my son are so grateful for the support and care you gave us Marie.

Just like to say a big thank you to Marie, Janice, Neil and all other staff involved in helping to make the gathering for our mum a lovely day. They listened to what we wanted and made some suggestions which really helped us. They carried out all our requests, from arranging the music to preparing the room for the small service as we planned. It all helped to make the day a special occasion, in a beautiful setting, which we will always remember.
