The electrician arrived late, that’s not a big issue. What’s disappointing is that I asked for them to install a Nest Hello door bell; the first thing the electrician said to me is (we don’t install these, we normally install Ring. I hope it doesn’t require a transformer!!), I asked if he has a spare in the van, he said No?!!
Luckily it worked, but because of the lack of transformer my door bell now goes DING rather than DING-DONG.
Now, if you know you’re going for a job that requires a transformer, why not bring one!!?

I immediately regretted not going for one of the Nest Pro installers, but I corrected this when I bought another Nest door bell for my father in law.

Turned up 90 mins late and didn’t even apologise. Said was going to take 45 mins but took 90 mins. Did the job but should have been polite and punctual.

Our engineer was on time, polite and did a good job

I was stunned when the two men walked into my home and the first words the man (who was obviously in charge) said to me were "Where's the fuse box". No hello! No good morning. No smile.
I said "Hello, good morning, my name's.......... and what are yours?". They told me. The same man said "They keep us on a tight schedule, we don't have time for niceties".
Niceties?
I think "Good morning" is common courtesy!
That's no way to treat your customers.

After that the two men were fine. They appeared more relaxed, became more pleasant and completed the job efficiently and quickly (in one hour where I had been expecting two).
He then gave me the results and took the time to explain them to me.
