Virtual card cancelled and won't reissue a new
They cancelled my virtual card and refuse to reissue a new one. I contacted the support and they said that they are migrating to a new banking provider and in the mean time i cannot request a new card (their estimate is sometime in Q2)
So my money is stuck on that"account" with no way of rescuing it. But they willingly deduct my monthly subscription from my normal credit card...
When i cancelled my subscription i saw a warning message that my account will be closed 30 days after the last subscription cycle.
Fortunately I only used it for Netflix subscription and kept a couple of months worth fee on it but still it's more than a shady business strategy to give no way of recover your money but you have to pay monthly subscription to keep the account alive.

I bought a gift card and there was no balance on it.
I bought a gift card and wanted to give it as a gift for Christmas. Only to find the balance was empty.
After weeks waiting for a reply to my ticket I got a generic, please be patient response and they closed my ticket as solved.
They stole my funds and I will have to take further action with the financial ombudsman service. I hope others have better luck recovering their funds , if not please report them too.
This company of fraudsters and scammers should not be allowed to trade.

Very negative experience with Plutus.
First of all, when problems occur, you have to wait days just to get a response to a support ticket. Customer support is extremely slow and unreliable.
Secondly, there are constant changes to the app and, more importantly, to the terms and conditions. These changes almost always make the conditions worse for users. As a member, you can only lose over time.
The benefits are continuously reduced, rules are changed without real transparency, and what was promised initially no longer applies. This creates a feeling of complete uncertainty and lack of trust.
I strongly advise everyone against joining this platform or, even worse, depositing or parking any money there. Based on my experience, this involves significant risk.

Support was unable to provide any evidence and merely reiterated the same message. I'm perplexed, irritated, and unsure of why my money isn't released after testing another platform and it worked. Years of Broken Promises and Worthless Rewards - A Complete Waste of Time and Mone
I've been a Plutus user for many and I can confirm everything the negative reviews say - this platform is a masterclass in how to destroy customer trust.
Constantly Changing Rules: The goalposts never stop moving. What starts as an attractive cashback offer gets quietly gutted through endless "policy updates." The rewards you thought you were earning become worthless overnight. It's bait-and-switch as a business model.
PLU is Worthless: Let's be honest - PLU isn't "cashback," it's monopoly money. Non-transferable, non-tradeable loyalty points that you can't actually use for anything meaningful. I watched my supposed "rewards" lose value while being locked into their ecosystem with no way out.
Billing Nightmares: Like many others, I've experienced unauthorized charges. Downgrade to a free plan? They'll charge you anyway. Cancel your account? Good luck - mysterious charges keep appearing. Their billing system seems designed to extract money whether you consent or not.
Customer Support is Non-Existent: When you do have problems, support is either unresponsive or unhelpful. They can't explain their own policies, can't provide evidence for charges, and clearly don't care about resolving issues.
Misleading Advertising: The advertised cashback rates bear no resemblance to reality. Expect to receive a fraction of what's promised - one reviewer reported getting 0.34% instead of the advertised 3%. That's not an error, that's deception.
My Advice: Stay far away. The crypto card cashback space has legitimate competitors. This isn't one of them. Don't let the initial promises fool you - you'll end up feeling like an idiot for trusting them, just like the rest of us.
Cashback that became worthless loyalty points
I’m updating my earlier positive review after several years of using Plutus.
What started as an interesting crypto cashback card steadily deteriorated due to constant rule changes, shrinking benefits, and increasingly opaque reward mechanics. Over time, subscription tiers, reward levels, and perks were repeatedly altered, making the product unreliable to use long term.
The final breaking point was the replacement of transferable PLU rewards with “PLUS / PLUS Beta” units that are non-transferable, non-tradeable, and explicitly non-redeemable for value. At that point, cashback stopped being cashback and became closed-system loyalty points with no guaranteed exit.
Marketing still promotes headline reward percentages, but the practical ability to realise those rewards has been significantly weakened. Communication and support around major changes have also been inconsistent.
I’ve now exited the platform entirely. I would not recommend Plutus to anyone looking for stable, transparent, or dependable rewards. Frequent rule changes should be a red flag to any potential user.
While I did manage to realise some cashback before conditions worsened, the overall experience left a bitter taste. What once felt like an innovative project ultimately proved unsustainable, especially as additional restrictions and controls were introduced for loyal users.

Charged fees after meeting stated requirement for free payouts
Customer since May 2022. On 31 Jan 2025 Plutus emailed that free payouts would be enabled if I unlocked a higher sub level. On 13 Feb 2025 they sent a precise requirement to add a specific PLU amount by the 20 Feb cut off. I complied and added more than requested.
On 18 Feb my payout was charged a fee without a clear confirmation step. I asked support to cancel and refund immediately but received no action. Additional fees followed. Support repeatedly said I was ineligible but would not explain which criteria I failed. Later they said eligibility was discretionary and they did not have to disclose reasons. No one has identified any specific breach.
I participated in mediation in July 2025. Plutus could not explain why I did not qualify after following their emailed instructions. I am now pursuing a small claim for a refund plus court fees.
I will update this review if Plutus resolves the issue or provides a clear, evidence based explanation consistent with their emails.
1/5 – Extremely disappointing experience
My experience with Plutus has gone from promising to incredibly frustrating. After several years as a customer, I can say that the level of service and transparency has deteriorated sharply.
For more than a week, my gift card purchases remained “pending” without being issued, and customer support provided no real updates or solutions. When I checked community channels to see if others were experiencing the same problem, I found that many users reported identical issues — yet their messages were quickly deleted.
This pattern of removing genuine user feedback is very concerning and does not build trust. Even simple, harmless comments (like saying I would not renew my Metal subscription) were removed without explanation.
Communication around important topics such as PLU performance and the promised U.S. launch is vague or simply avoided. Instead of addressing customer concerns openly, the focus seems to be on moderating and censoring criticism.
After this experience, I can no longer recommend Plutus. Lack of transparency, slow issue resolution, and censorship of legitimate concerns have made me lose all confidence in the project.

Seemed like a solid company until the greed got to them and kept on stealing from every member. Stay as far away as possible.
Illegal charges
They used my previously saved payment information from over a year ago to charge me for a subscription I never signed back up for which is illegal. There is no way to cancel the subscription on their website (again illegal) and they are not answering my many emails requesting to close my account and get a refund for the illegal charge.
