Plumbing Nerds are a RIP OFF! initially very nice until they charge you three to four times as much as someone else would.

Fortunately, I chanced upon a group of professionals who were capable of dispatching a team to my residence within a remarkably short two-hour window. Upon their arrival, they conducted a thorough inspection and revealed that my pipes were severely obstructed, necessitating a comprehensive cleaning procedure that would involve the use of a camera.

Regrettably, the price they quoted for their services proved to be rather steep. However, given the impending weekend and my escalating anxiety over the situation, I reluctantly agreed to proceed without delay. To my astonishment, the individual assigned to the task admitted that he had never undertaken such a complex job alone and needed to enlist the assistance of a colleague. Consequently, the two of them embarked on a demanding 4.5-hour undertaking, deploying their specialized equipment. To their credit, they succeeded in restoring all plumbing fixtures to their proper working order, achieving a satisfactory outcome.

In the aftermath of their work, the plumbers delivered an unsettling revelation—they were unable to offer any guarantee for their repairs due to alleged flaws in my home's piping system. Supposedly, a complete repiping of the premises was deemed essential, a prospect that entailed substantial excavation and cost.

The following day, I shared my predicament with my neighbors, who were understandably shocked by the exorbitant price I had paid. Troubled by this discovery, I initiated an online investigation and solicited estimates from two alternative plumbing companies. It quickly became apparent that I had been grossly overcharged.

Determined to seek clarity on their pricing, I reached out to the initial company. Initially met with silence, my persistence eventually elicited a response. Their justification for the exorbitant cost was rooted in their billing method, which assessed charges based on the complexity of the job rather than the hours worked. They maintained that even if the task had extended over two days, the price would have remained unchanged, citing their exceptional expertise as a contributing factor.

While I am appreciative of their prompt assistance during my time of need, I feel compelled to caution others through this review. It is of paramount importance to obtain estimates in advance and conduct thorough research into alternative options. I unwittingly found myself subjected to an exorbitant rate of $1000 per manhour, a figure that defies reason. Furthermore, consultation with the original builder of my relatively new house confirmed that my pipes had indeed been installed correctly, dispelling any notion of prior deception.
