Great service from Rachel! Clear, straightforward advice to take forward and change my garden layout

I had struggled for several years trying to come up with a design which would work for my garden. Then I watched Rachel’s videos and realized that Plantplots.com might just be the answer – and so it proved. An incredibly clever, innovative design which has now allowed me to set about the planting of much shelter belt hedging and shrubs – so necessary when living on one of Scotland’s outer islands – undoubtedly beautiful but somewhat challenging for gardeners.

It was very easy to work with Rachel. Videos and photographs were sent via Whatsapp and text by email. We had one telephone conversation. In a matter of a few weeks, Rachel had produced an excellent design which was then tweaked to suit the particular, quirky and difficult terrain of our garden and job done!

Rachel’s pricing is, as she says on her website, tailored to fit the client’s requirements and is truly modest for what is provided.

Having the benefit of Rachel’s knowledge, experience and sound advice was exactly what we needed in planning a garden from scratch. Combined with the clever use of technology for discussions and visuals, PlantPlots is an invaluable no- brainer!

I purchased 6 raised beds and they are great.
The assembly was easy and the beds are sturdy and attractive.
These are .my first raised beds but they won't be my last, I think I might need a few more.

Designing a garden for our new build home felt daunting but Rachel helped us to think about what we wanted to get out of the garden and suggested a scheme, which is just what we were looking for. It now feels like an exciting project to start, rather than a daunting one!

Booked a 30 minute appointment with Rachel. She was so knowledgeable. I have a raised bed and wanted to know what plants to plant. From my initial thoughts on the type of plants and colours I thought I would like Rachel had prepared before my consultation what plants would be best to plant. These turned out to be completely different from my initial thoughts. Rachel explained about soil, position of sun etc and looking at the computer generated view of my raised bed she put together it was perfect. I received a follow up email with everything I need to complete my raised bed. I would recommend Rachel if you need help with your garden.

Booked an initial 30 minutes with Rachel to discuss some ideas for my small garden. This was really useful as a starting point on how to begin to design a space that I'd get good use of, whilst also helping me begin to understand how to group plants together - am a real novice and this was great. I plan to spend a bit of time coming up with a few ideas and book another session with Rachel to discuss and get more thoughts. Would recommend!

We have a new build and didnt have any ideas of how to create a garden from scratch. Rachel was very helpful and explained about improving the soil before planting. She provided a simple design and lots of tips on getting the size of patio and flower borders right. I feel more confident and able to tackle the garden in stages. Thank you Rachel.

We had no idea where to start with our garden after extending our house and destroying much of the original garden. We didn't know where to locate the patio or where to put paths, let alone what to plant. Rachel's service was incredibly good value. She is so knowledgeable, kind, patient, and a very clear communicator. Her planting plan was very clear and the local nursery said it was the best they'd ever seen. We have now planted everything exactly as per Rachel's plan and can't wait for the spring / summer! Would recommend Rachel to everyone.

I contacted Rachel for help with planning my garden. I knew what I wanted but lacked the vision to plan it out. I spoke with Rachel via email and telephone; she took the time to listen to me and understand what was important in my design.

The process was easy, and Rachel developed some great initial concepts. These were then tweaked over the next week or so until I got a layout I was thrilled with.

The final design looks great, and the plans are comprehensive yet easy to follow. It is a big project that will take me several years to achieve, but something I would never have thought of myself.

Rachel was creative and really listened to our asks (even though we kept changing our minds!). The end design was one we were all happy with and not something I could have achieved even though I consider myself a pretty good gardener!

Was a little disappointed that most of the hour was taken up talking about things I’d already heard from listening to the podcasts and reading the book I want to like my garden. Hopefully the follow up report I receive will be more specific to my garden with design suggestions on how I can make improvements along with planting ideas.
