I bought the plagiarism Checker X today…
I bought the plagiarism Checker X today because it was the only one I could find that was a one time purchase price not a subscription of per word or per page price. The price was very reasonable! I will use it over and over for the books I am writing. It was very easy to use and I like the colored reports it produces!

Good tool for journalists
A requirement in our journalism courses was that our submissions had to be unique, someone could have not written on topic area before and if they did our content had to be substantively original. Doing that by manually surveying online content is almost impractical. The online plagiarism checking feature for this software cam in really handy for that. It made writing unique news and analysis pieces a lot more streamlined and easier. The word restriction per search was a little hard to work with but still manageable. For someone whose major work is in the writing area, this a very useful software to have.

Effective and simple
I've been doing freelance writing for some years now. Started during university and made it my major focus after graduation. IN any kind of writing plagiarism was a major concern, especially when lecturers instill it as an absolutely unacceptable act. So, for some self help, I've been super keen to use some plagiarism checking tool so I don't end up self plagiarizing because the writing topics tend to be the same.
The side-by-side and crosscheck features have been a life saver in that regard because I can easily scan something recent with an old article I wrote on a similar topic.
There is a slight drawback, though. There is a limit on the number of documents you can attach in one go (5) but it doesn't come in the way most of the time. Only if on article number 6 on the same thing. Also, the perpetual license options aren't too expensive either so that too is a good option moving forward.
