Great customer service but really disappointed with the food. We visited Pizza Express because our child loves it but we could get much better pizza elsewhere. My pizza was soft (only just cooked) and... See more

Visited pizza express at Edinburgh airport
Visited pizza express at Edinburgh Airport and was greeted by a lovely young lady called Leah. Was extremely pleasant and friendly. Didn’t rush us for order and was very chatty. Food came out nice and hot and was delicious. Leah thanked us at the end. Very happy with this service. Credit to the company for your professionalism at such a young age. I think you will go far in hospitality Leah . Hopefully see you on our next holiday :)
Last minute lunch booking
We were in Eastbourne for the day and made a short notice lunch booking . Steady trade and staff were polite and helpful, short wait to order and pizza to arrive , happy to tweak my order ( no olives ) majority of bill was covered by Clubcard vouchers . Drinks are not included but we were aware .
Don't go there
Where to start. On arrival kept waiting by the door, no greeting, no-one interested. Finally sat down but again no-one interested. I had overheard customers complaining about errors on their bills and waiting for 2 hours for 2 pizzas so I asked the manager before we (party of 7) ordered whether it was going to be a long wait. He obviously didn't care and just repeated "it's up to you" whether we stayed or went. We decided to stay but the "couldn't care less" attitude is terrible. The manager said that they were too busy but there were fewer than 50% of the tables occupied.
1 pizza was missed off the order so was delivered late. Garlic bread did not arrive until we had all finished our food. Just terrible. Don't go there.
Visited Pizza Express Plymouth and…
Visited Pizza Express Plymouth and honestly left more confused than anything else.
When it came to paying, I asked to use my Blue Light Card and was told it’s not valid on Fridays. That in itself is questionable, but what really stood out was that when I asked why, the waitress had absolutely no idea.
So apparently emergency service workers are appreciated… just not at the end of the week? Should we all make sure we only go out Monday–Thursday to be “recognised”?
It’s not even about the money — it’s the principle and how poorly it’s handled. If you’re going to advertise support for Blue Light workers, at least make it consistent and make sure your staff understand the policy.
Left a bit of a sour taste after what was otherwise a decent meal.
Pizzaexpress Cannock poor service
Pizzaexpress Cannock is very disappointing. We have been turned away from there twice now. Last night we arrived just after 6 and they told us there was a 45 minute wait for tables. Despite half the tables being empty, some of which still had the debris from the previous customer. They were just trying to get rid of us so that they could close up early. Won't be going back there again.
Things are not always what they seem!!
Went to Pizza Express Farnham today, what a surprise I got when I ordered a Leggera pizza, which I enjoy normally due to the salad pizza combo, but not today! There was a huge portion of rocket obviously used to hide the fact the hole cut out the centre has increased! Basically it’s a pizza crust with salad for an extortionate cost, shocking and very disappointing!
Pizza Express is a total joke
Pizza Express is a total joke, one of the worst restaurants ive been in. we had a terrible meal in Stamford and the hQ staff were useless in my complaint. so my advice, avoid all PE restaurants unless you want to eat poorly. the salads are awful and the starters tiny. avoid.
Pizza Express - Hull
I decide to try this out before heading to the theatre for a night out. Excellent service from start to finish, the food was amazing and very tasty. The only downside was I was sat on a table for two by the door, so every time someone opens it the wind came it, not great when trying to eat.
We had lunch at Twickenham restaurant…

Southampton west quay
Southampton west quay. Wow. How bad can it get. New recipe chicken Caesar salad. Terrible. No egg no lettuce and dressing out a a tube on the side. asking for the dough sticks
Could not check in and staff said it’s not working so to get stamps you need to contact customer services. Goodbye.
Then they looked surprised at no tip.
Been coming here for 15 years but the last 4 or so have been dowhnhill. Never again
I used to love Pizza Express but have…
I used to love Pizza Express but have been really disappointed with the most recent experience.
6 of us ordering pizza and drinks , I chose a thin and crispy Romana Funghi Di Bosco pizza that promised Chestnut mushrooms (note the plural here), tomato with garlic, mozzarella and rosemary, finished with parsley and Gran Milano cheese at £18.95.
What I got was to be fair very tasty and the ingredients good quality but.... it was hard to tell which pizza I ordered as it wasn't much more than a basic pizza base with several areas having no topping at all and what amounted to a single very thinly sliced mushroom oddly dotted about the pizza . Cutting the pizza into 6 large equal pieces , 3 had no mushroom on and I didn't detect any rosemary at all.
The thin layer of tomato sauce and cheese did taste good and very garlicky, the base too was crispy and tasty and fresh parsley added to the top - but for nearly £19, a single mushroom sliced so thin you couldn't taste is not a mushroom pizza .
With drinks at nearly £8 a pop it turned out to be a very expensive meal for what it was. I understand places are struggling with rising prices and need to charge accordingly but cutting back on cheap key ingredints isn't the way to do it .
Collecting on 3 separate occasions
Collecting on 3 separate occasions. Once cold food. Twice they forgot drinks.
1087552 Ref Complained twice. Got free meal once.
Told second time that I couldn’t provide photographic evidence of missing drink. Tried escalating and told by Leanne Lamport that no escalation procedure exists.
Disappointed
I have always liked Pizza Express. But recently, their prices seem to have gone up considerably. Yesterday, we had two classic pizzas, one small beer & one soft drink. The bill was nearly £50, which did include a small tip. The food wasn’t very hot, and the use of ‘marble’ tables, means the food gets cold very quickly. I will only visit in future if I have Tesco vouchers towards the cost.
Lucy is amazing
Our waitress Lucy was amazing. I do have extremely high standards and Lucy delivered at every level.
Attentive without being intrusive, friendly, one of the best waitresses I believe I have ever had.
It is definitely worth choosing a night Lucy is working if you can
Romana Pizza base quality no longer thin and crusty
Pizza base quality is very poor especially the changed Romana base recipe, no longer thin and crusty but is thick snd soft. It is more like a large classic base than Romana base. Pizza express quality is getting poor and reducing sizes and not good value for money as prize too high.
Pizza Express BH2 Bournemouth was empty…
Pizza Express BH2 Bournemouth was empty yesterday but they refused ourselves a table because they had too many takeaway orders. Utter madness.
Staff are always friendly and helpful
Staff are always friendly and helpful. Service is always quick and easy.
Looked forward to Friday pizza…
Looked forward to Friday pizza after long week. Ordered with an hour to collect and not even told it was cancelled. There was a problem with the order, with no explanation. Found an email that refund would take ten days, which is disgusting. No call, no offer for alternative.
Considering Gold member, absolutely shocking. Went Dominos instead.
Considering the pizza and wings are tasty, terrible service.
Very unsafe for food
We've been here few years ago and was a nice experience, but today was a horrible experience, my wife pizza was with some hair on it, they replaced the pizza and the desert order came totally wrong. They offered the meal for free of charge but we didn't accept. That was on Stratford Westfield food court.
Overpriced for the quality - needs to do better
I really enjoyed my Romana American Hot pizza and the Merlot wine, however my wife's Leggera Giardiniera was nothing short of rubbish. The pizza base with the hole in the middle had no flavour, the filling was just some rocket leaves and the dressing was plain awful. All of that at a price of £17.95!
This was at the Beaconsfield branch, which we frequented when our son was young, but unlikely to visit again.
