Honestly

I LOVED how the photo turned out, but the service to which the process entailed was not great.

Dear Isabella,

Thank you for your feedback. I’m glad to hear that you’re happy with the final result. I’m sorry to hear that the process felt unclear.

Please note that we mention in advance that customers can contact us to request a quote if their photos require additional editing. It is also stated that if photos need restoration first, the “Improve Photos” option should be selected. This option was available both on the cart page and during checkout but was not ordered.

For this reason, we reached out to upgrade your order to include the necessary restoration, as the payment must match the requested work. I’m sorry if this caused any frustration, but this does not change the fact that the process was clearly outlined beforehand.

We truly appreciate your understanding.

Twice I asked these wonderful people to…

Twice I asked these wonderful people to repair digital images of photos which were incredibly important to me.

One was a black and white photo of my grandparents 50th anniversary, with them surrounded by their five children, 12 of their then grandchildren, and three of their then great-grandchildren. I had a blury out of focus color image taken at the same time so it could be a guide.

What they have done was spectacular. Not only did they beautifully 'colorize' the original, their efforts resulted in an image that could not be seen as having been edited. It was wonderful.

The second was a photo taken of my dad and I at Garden of the Gods in Colorado, and is one of the few I have remaining of he and I together. There was much background 'noise', and it was cleared beautifully.

Trust me, you will not go wrong working with these fine people.

Very Kind and Helpful

They were very kind and easy to work with even when I had many questions and didn't really understand how their company worked at first. I'm glad I chose this company because not only were they nice, but the print turned out amazing. Not only that but when shipping was running late they let me know and provided me the tracking number.

Hello Noelia, your order was uploaded for preview in the Track My Order page. You have also received e-mails about it. You can preview it there and request revisions if needed. If you were expecting for a physical copy, please note that you've ordered digital delivery.

Picture enquiry

I enquired about a picture I had in mind and straight away I was given clear instructions on what I could have and how to order it online. They go above and beyond to make your ideas into reality and when I see the preview I was blown away. Going with pixels photo art was the best desicion I ever made. They truly are fantastic :)

No common sense when creating prints, Cust Svc: 'not our problem'.

Submitted for a photo to have my deceased uncle added to his daughter's wedding photo.
Asked the artist in my order (Order 3557) to provide a preview prior to Print and Ship. Meaning I want to see and approve it as I already pre-paid for it, and didn't want to fund incompetence. But alas, that's what i did.
6 people staring to the left, image provided, had my uncle staring to the right. I can accept some blame for not clearly telling the artist 'hey..may want to make sure you mirror this so they're all facing the same direction'. Silly me for assuming someone would take any initiative and say 'i should face him to the left, so it does look like he's in the image, and not just one out of 7 people facing 100% in the other direction'.
So i get done travelling for work, and see that they sent me the proof to review, but since they didn't follow my 2nd request "...Prior to Shipping" they sent the print.
$120 down the drain for a print where my uncle looks super-imposed into the image, but also he's facint the opposite direction and makes the entire portrait look bad. :(
So now i have to find someone else who will do it right, and actually follow instructions.

Then i reach out to Customer Service in hopes that maybe i could get a discount (i'm not asking for free) on getting a new one printed with him facing the right way, after I expressed to the artist i wasn't happy with it. and i think he offered a 10% discount. Maybe I expect more from people than they're ever going to try to give in the care of their work, but 10% was just not enough for someone who thought this image looked even remotely 'ok' let alone sentimentally acceptable.
Customer service said 'this is a you problem and doesn't concern us. you didn't approve it within the timeframe' as if they're waiting on money but already did the work. quite the opposite.

So now i'm wishing i had just hit up people i know who have photoshop and tried to see if they could have done it, but i trusted people who were 'professionals' and unfortunately, they were far from it.

I'm sure many have had great experience, and I'm happy they got what they asked for, and it came out.
I'm just very disappointed in how poor this entire process has been, and the fact that they said 'this is a you problem', is the reason this review is written. Otherwise, I'd just have chalked this up to 'you picked a horrible company, don't ever pick them again', and moved on.

Hi William,

Thank you for taking the time to share your feedback. We would like to clarify a few important points regarding your order, as you make incorrect and misleading claims in hope to damage the company's reputation. All orders include a preview and unlimited revisions by default, and we follow the same process consistently for every customer. We did not receive any revision requests before the shipment deadline, and because no hold-on-shipping request was made, your order proceeded according to our public policies.

The artists can have a different view on the artwork than you do. If you don't like the outcome, by all means, request revisions until you're happy.

Your attached note requested a preview, and we provided it. Multiple emails were sent regarding the artwork preview and delivery timeline. No response was given. That being said, we cannot override the delivery schedule without a revision request. Our timelines, process, and policies are fully available on the service page, and the automated follow-up emails explain each step to ensure every customer knows what to do next. About 90% of the customers don't request request revisions, and those who do, they do it within 48 hours after we upload the artwork, not almost 6 days later.

To keep our workflow fair and reliable, we apply the same policies for all clients. In the end, the service works as advertised, not as one may assume.

When you reached out after receiving the print, both the artist and our support team offered assistance, including the option to revise the artwork and a 20% (not 10% as you claimed) discount toward a reprint. You've said it's not sufficient and tried to get a free reprint.

Our team works according to the advertised process. When we do not receive feedback within the review window, the order must move forward. We wish you best of luck finding other company, until then, we will continue to serve under the same transparent policies!

Restoration of 1970's badly washed out color photo…

The restoration of my 1970's photo performed by Pixels Photo Art is nothing short of a miracle. I was stunned by how natural the color to the women's blouses and the lighting on the faces is. I am sure that this version of the photo is better than the color original. I wish I could give more than five stars, not just for the result, but for the fast service and excellent customer communication.

I would never use this company, I would find another service on Etsy.

I would never use this company or recommend them. I ask for them to fix the painting, the customer service representative was very rude during our conversation. Then I tried cancelling the order all together, and was told someone would be reaching out. I heard nothing back, I reached out again and again got no response. Then I got the wrong image shipped to my house.

Kendall, after personally reviewing your order and the communication with our team, we want to clarify a few important points.

You did not ask us to “fix” the painting. Instead, you provided a completely different photo after the artwork was completed and expected a new painting at no additional cost. Our support team explained that one order cannot result in two separate artworks. This is no different than paying for one service, receiving it, and then asking for another of equal value free of charge. Revisions within the order materials and instructions provided will always be granted.

Our records show that the support agent was clear and professional in explaining the process and company policy. While the answers may not have been what you wanted, every inquiry you made received a response. The suggestion that you reached out repeatedly without hearing back is not accurate. You contacted us twice, and both times our team replied.

To summarize the process: you uploaded multiple photos, and the artist selected the one most suitable for creating the painting. After delivery, you requested a new artwork from a different photo but declined to pay for a second piece. Regarding the printing, according to the revision and refund policy you agreed to at checkout, if no revision is requested within the timeframe, the painting proceeds to print as finalized. Requesting a new painting from a different photo is not considered a revision. Our team paints exactly as in the photo provided.

You also told our agent that the painting was not your dog, although it matched exactly the photo you originally provided. We work based on the photos and instructions given at the time of the order. Post-order revisions that do not reflect the provided order materials and information are to be paid. Expecting otherwise is not standard for any professional service provider.

That being said, thank you for your decision not to work with us again. Our company is committed to fairness and professionalism. This is what we provide, and it is also what we expect in return.
