Absolutely disappointing

Absolutely disappointing.
Overpromised and overcharged. Despite me paying on the spot at the end of the visit and requesting an invoice 3 additional times after the visit by calling them, they never provided an invoice.

Only call them if you are prepared to pay 4 times the fair price for a small job!

I called them to fix one small radiator leak AND locate a hidden leak. The person on the phone said, 'don't worry we will fix your problem'. The plumber who came said that he was only instructed by his manager to fix the small leak and that he would not know how to find a hidden leak. He said that the small repair would cost £369, then dropped to £300 and then to £248 as the final price, or I had to pay the call out fee. I should have paid the £48 call out fee and let the plumber go. Sadly I went ahead with the offer to repair the small leak. After fixing the small leak in less than one hour including going out to buy the part (which actually all self-respecting plumbers carry in their vans), he tried to convince me that the small leak was all we had. This was sadly not the case. We had to continue topping up the water pressure for the boiler just the same as before. Within a few days from their visit the hidden leak became a lot worse and water started dripping down the wall!

The company should not overpromise and mislead customers. They should not overcharge either. They should also provide invoices alongside guarantees for the jobs they do.

Had a plumber out to fix my toilet fix…

Had a plumber out to fix my toilet, they fix the toilet problem but left a small leak on the water pipe to the hose which wasn't there before, also my toilet was fixed to the wall before but now its not, was ringing them all week to come back out to fix the two problems they left, they kept promising to come out but never did, they just took my money and ran and it wasn't cheap.

Avoid - Absurd pricing for a small job.

We had discovered a leak in our ceiling and called PipeCo, seemed great from the off.

Was quoted £449 for an inspection.

Once leak was identified, was quoted £1,800 to seal the gasket round the base of the toilet as they “think” that is the issue.

They tried to take advantage of the quote through home insurance despite me saying we aren’t going to be claiming for such a small issue.

The guy who was sent out was really nice but not a proper plumber.

Found a drip from some sort of insulation which was not replaced I assume as was out of reach, so the leak wasn’t actually stopped, but what they think was the leak was a seal that was £1,800, managed to get the price down £1,000 and wish i had never sent the payment now.

The seal of the base of the toilet is not as it was.

The floorboards had been pulled up to identify the leak has been left not how it was, we have a carpet that is now bumpy and wasn’t put back properly.

Absurd price for the job that was performed.

I recently had a very disappointing and frustrating experience with Pipecoplumbers.co.uk and would strongly advise others to think twice before using them.
I filled out their online form explaining that I have a thermostatic shower mixer that’s leaking. Shortly after, I received a call where I clearly described the issue and mentioned that it would likely just need the internal cartridge replaced. Based on that, they booked a plumber for me.
When the plumber arrived, he spent only a couple of minutes looking at the shower before declaring that I needed a completely new shower unit — either for £550 or a different model for £750. I explained that the shower unit is only one year old and asked if he could simply replace the cartridge instead. He refused, saying they don’t replace cartridges because they “can’t give a guarantee on the work.”
I then offered to purchase the cartridge myself and asked if he could just fit it. He said he would do it, but only for a labour charge of £250. I refused, as that seemed extremely excessive for what should be a relatively straightforward job.
In the end, with no resolution to my leaking shower, I was still charged £48 for the call-out fee.
For a company that advertises plumbing services, this felt like a complete waste of time and money. The plumber seemed more interested in pushing an expensive new unit rather than fixing the existing one, and the high labour quote for a simple cartridge replacement was ridiculous. Paying £48 just to be told “buy a new shower” with no actual repair work done is poor value and poor service.
I will not be using Pipecoplumbers.co.uk again and I recommend others look for a more honest and customer-focused plumber.

Expensive

We were give a time slot but the person who came was 2 hours later than the slot given. However he did a very good job of unblocking the toilet as a detergent holder which had fallen into the toilet was the blockage. No equipment was used and the whole job only took 30 mins. We were shocked when we were asked to pay £289 we should have asked or been told he price beforehand which was my fault: the website said from £49.00. We paid but I telephoned the company who said the price was correct. Please if you use the company ask for aa price upfront.
