I used Pinnacle for a full house…
I used Pinnacle for a full house renovation project during Covid. Leaving aside the challenges Covid brought to everyone I found their customer/client service to be well below par. The company owner spent very little time engaging with the project and when he did there was often a disconnect between his understanding of what was happening and the reality on the ground with panicked emails and requests sent to me on various occasions where often the matter was in hand with their builder. On one occasion I as the client was asked to resolve a dispute between him and a project manager where he refused to continue to act unless he received an apology - very unprofessional to involve the client in a contractor dispute and obviously clearly stress inducing for the client. On another occasion the builder lent a key to the house to scaffolders. “Coincidentally” that night all my new bathroom supplies were stolen with no forced entry shown (due to the key). On suggesting that this was the scaffolders and due to leaving a key with them there was a complete lack of accountability and almost shock at my making of such a such suggestion. There were many such stressful incidents through the build and on noting this at the end of the project, my email was met with radio silence. Following completion the property suffered many leaks and the builders were slow to respond to many of them which made fixing damage harder though they did redecorate my loo once they had resolved months of a leaking pipe. Subsequently I discovered that my roof design plans had not been followed and a vented roof with no vents had been constructed rather than an unvented roof. Though some of the design points had been addressed during the build there was vast expense to retrofit vents to be able to get building regulations sign off. On noting this to the company very recently, this was again met with silence. Building is obviously a stressful process and this company did nothing to take ownership or responsibility at any point. Completely unprofessional and handle with caution!
