I ordered gold from them thru wal mart.com . 500 dollars on a little gold bar as a gift. They didnt give me an option to pick who delivered it or to insure the package. Usps delivered it but I never received it. I spent 500 dollars wasn't given the option to insure it if I was given the option to insure my purchase of 500 dollars I would have, you would think since they chose the delivery company they would also insure their customers package . If you think they are going to do anything besides tell you after its marked delivered they have no liability. You would think since they didnt insure it or give an option to insure they would be more helpful but they could careless please give the customer an option to insure their package 500 dollars while not the end of the world it does sting and what if I bought more expensive stuff I would be out all that money is this how u treat all customers or do I need to spend more than 500 bucks to get treated like a real person . Don't buy from

What a nightmare

What a nightmare. I ordered a 5 oz silver bar. It was sent in a bubble mailer with no tape on the outside. No packaging material inside, only the packing slip. The envelope broke open at the top and was delivered to my PO Box with no silver bar inside. I tried corresponding with the company and was brushed off, told I had to file with the USPS. I did that, as well as file with eBay. I even filed a police report. Everyone denies my claim. The police can basically do nothing. I blame Pinehurst for careless, flimsy packaging. I’m out $439. I wish I had never made the purchase. Pinehurst does not care to properly package its shipments.

Lost shipment, no resolution in sight

I did six figures worth of business with Pinehurst Coins last year, & they were great – until they weren’t. On 11/24/25, I ordered 75 British silver coins. The order shipped promptly but then disappeared in transit into the USPS labyrinth. After emails to initiate a lost mail search, promises of “complete resolution,” & expiration of an insurance-mandated 30-day investigation period, Pinehurst Coins pivoted to a previously unmentioned “loss prevention team review” – then, nothing. Now, after almost 100 days since order placement & six plus weeks of radio silence, it appears that a trip down Arbitration Road will be necessary before Pinehurst Coins fulfills its legal & ethical responsibility to reship or refund this order. So, customers might expect trouble if their order goes sideways. Caveat emptor.

UPDATE 3/5/2026 > Kudos to Pinehurst Coins for reaching out, accepting responsibility, apologizing, issuing a full refund, & most importantly, modifying internal procedures to prevent repetition. Bravo!

Worst in Client Service

Having used Pinehurst in past for bullion US coins, I made a recent order on EBay and failed to check their recent feedback. They have lost all proper client services and noted on BBB and sites like this for their poor choices. They fail to respond to any contact, they don’t have the items in stock being sold yet not marked as presale, and they fail to make amends for their mistake. If you challenge and market is up, they cancel order thus only accepting benefit to themselves. If seller cancels they try and access a market price penalty, even for products they failed to have available.

My current order is now 11 days old. Not shipped and no communication to 3 emails after the 5 day shipping guarantee they offer, as well as no response to EBay. BBB complaint filed, FTC notified and email to Attorney General in their State of NC now sent. Truly the worst experience especially given they have been paid for almost two weeks.

I recently ordered 6 silver proof coins…

I recently ordered 6 silver proof coins (Morgan, Peace, and Silver Eagle -- 2 of each on PF69 or PF70. After about 2 weeks, the price of silver went up and they cancelled 1 coin. They then shipped 2 coins, and then told me the other 3 coins were delayed. Oddly, they listed the 5 remaining coins as shipped via USPS, which made it impossible for me to complain to eBay as they thought all had been received, and no return was allowed -- even though 4 coins never arrived. By then silver had gone up by $30 an ounce and I was told 3 of my remaining coins were "in the queue" to be shipped in the coming months. WTF! I asked PayPal for my $ back. And then silver dropped $45 and ounce... and suddenly they contacted me and told me all 5 coins were now available and could now ship 2nd Day Air. I told them no thank you!! IMHO, Pinehurst Coin Company is a criminal organization!

I placed order for Silver Coins through…

I placed order for Silver Coins through Walmart.com when the price was $1,578, but the price went up. So they cancelled the order and blamed on Walmart! Walmart tells me that item is not available, but it is still being sold by both Walmart and Pinehurst, but at a higher price!!

DO NOT BUY FROM PINEHURST

I purchased 60 BU random year silver Eagles for $2,831.04. There were other companies within $20 of that total price for 60 BU random year silver eagles. Then, after the spot price of silver increased that day and the next, they canceled the order refunded my money and relisted the silver eagles at a higher price. They then told me it was a pricing error eventhough I purchased them from a large competitor of theirs the next day after silver went up for $2,881.59. The only error was that silver went up and demand went up so they wanted a larger premium. After calling them, they tried to say oh well you should have known the price wasnt right because that price was below spot which was a lie and easy to calculate. $2831.04 divided by 60 is $47.184 per ounce which is clearly over spot of $44. When they finally admitted it wasn't below spot because simple math is hard to deny, they basically said oh well tough luck.

OUT OF STOCK I DON'T THINK SO..

The facts are this: On E-bay I find a great deal online through Pinehurst Coins. I made the purchase of nearly $2,000 on my credit card, along with a second purchase. I guess when Pinehurst realized the price was lower than they liked; they canceled my order without warning and stipulated it was a technical issue and they didn't have them in stock. That's odd, as I see through Wal-mart, which they sell though too, they state technical issues. Seems to me they will lie about this, to avoid fees and inconvenience the buyer, me and sure they apologize, and shift blame on technical factors, and then leave me some copy and pasted response after they messed me up.

In the past they were great, but with the deception, and in no way do they wish to compensate me for any troubles caused. They say how they are sorry and want to make it right, but only rectify it by telling of a discount on a future order(s). I don't think so, you've lost my business for sure.

Great! But it doesn't help with them not honoring the sale or offering a substitute, just poor business practices, as there customer relations is going South in my honest assessment of their tactics with a good deal is too good, you will most likely get what I got of an excuse. Be very careful when dealing with this unethical Pinehurst Coin store. One can see hints of their unethical behavior in other reviews all over the web.

Here's the facts

Here's the facts, Pinehurst coin, has posted to sell 10 oz Silver bars at a good price and me and others ordered and a few days they cancelled!!! We ordered in Good faith!! If a honest seller offer a equal replacement? BUT NO. I and others sent the in Walmart messages and they wrote it's was a Walmart mistake B/S! You posted you listing in Walmart the cost and blame Walmart, that's not true, on my order you wrote Out stock no it was not out of stock. So a few days ago 5/7 & 5/8 for 2 10-1 oz silver coins, and it's still in processing and they are waiting for Walmart to cancel as Walmart puts a time limit on their sellers to ship orders. But Pinehurst Coins is being dishonest seller now, maybe since A-Mark owns them as known to be a poor company. My point is we buy in Good Faith and then they make up a reason why not to honor orders.. 100's of orders cancelled or not shipped.... Just BAD SELLER.

Pinhurst Coins selling tarnished silver eagles as Brillant Uncirculated...

Dear Pinehurst Coins...
Wanted to let you know that I am not happy about my purchase: Order number 26-12199-54880. Your company advertised and sold these coins as "BU". The coins I received were not as
advertised....they are tarnished and dis-colored in the center of the coins ever so slightly. I will not be purchasing from your company again.
I am a coin/gold/silver collector and enthusiast for over 50 years and I am very particular about my collection. 26-12199-54880.

Reply from Pinehurst Coins

Thank you for your feedback. We noticed your recent comments regarding an order delivered in October. As part of our efforts to resolve the issue, we offered a refund or an exchange as a good-faith gesture since it is exceedingly common for Silver Coins, regardless of BU labeling, to tarnish over time. Still, you declined and mentioned that you would keep the coins.

At Pinehurst Coins, we strive to address every customer concern, and we are truly sorry that your shopping experience didn’t meet your expectations. If there’s anything further we can do to resolve this to your satisfaction, please don’t hesitate to let us know.

We appreciate your business and would love the opportunity to make things right.

Unethical Business Practices

Bought a few slivers coins from pinehurst online at an amazing price. After pinehurst realized the price was too good, they canceled my order without warning. They blamed the reduced price on a “technical” issue. Very immoral and unethical business practices.

Reply from Pinehurst Coins

Dear Andrew,

I hope this message finds you well. I want to extend my sincerest apologies for any inconvenience caused by the cancellation and full refund of your recent order with Pinehurst Coins.

I understand that it can be frustrating to experience such unexpected changes in your purchase plans, and I want to assure you that we take this matter very seriously. Our pricing is published to eBay via an API connection and due to a technical issue the pricing that was published to a small selection of our products was incorrect. Unfortunately, your order fell into this exceptional category, and we found it necessary to cancel it and immediately fully refund your order.

Please accept our heartfelt apologies for any frustration or inconvenience this may have caused you. We truly value your patronage and the trust you've placed in Pinehurst Coins. Rest assured, we are taking steps to rectify the pricing discrepancies to prevent such occurrences in the future.

If you have any further concerns or questions, please don't hesitate to reach out to our customer service team at Pinehurst Coins. We are here to assist you in any way we can.
Thank you for your understanding.

Warm regards,
Customer Service Team

Took act of God to order from them on EBay and PayPal

What a PITA to order on EBay. Read more>I pre-ordered 2023 ms 70 first day gold eagles on eBay in Dec and it said, “will ship in January.” So, I knew it would ship in January, not when I bought it in Dec. I had to go through this and that and several steps…crazy steps on eBay that I never had to do before! Then, my credit card refused to allow the transaction! I went through PayPal and they refused the transaction! I ended up splitting the cost between debit card and credit card and it finally went through! What a PITA! I never bought off their website before, and only on eBay, which I’ll never do again! If I order next time, I’ll order in stock on their actual website and then let everyone know how long did it take to ship after I paid!

Pinehurst Coins - All About Themselves

This company may be growing and getting big, but that is all because they only care about themselves, and no one else. I have ordered thousands of dollars in silver merchandise on eBay and I spend money daily on there for years. I had never made a return in all the years I had been buying from eBay, but I received a graded coin from Pinehurst that had an obvious thumbprint on the coin. I sent it back and got caught in a hell storm between return and them forcing me to just take my money back credited back on my card. I just didn't treat them with respect and they just forced my money back and blocked me on eBay so they didn't have to answer to me at all. I just think it is BAD BUSINESS PRACTICE, and I am not happy. I am over the whole deal now, but blocking me over just really erks me and seems very immature. I will take this down when I am unblocked. Otherwise, I've got Reddit and many others.

Thanks,
silverandkratom
