Story behind the name
In the early 1600s, Dutch explorers set sail to unknown parts of the world, eventually boasting the largest naval fleet on Earth. To protect themselves from bad luck, mariners inked tattoos of a pig and a hen on their feet because crates of pigs and hens were oftentimes the only items left floating after a shipwreck. The sailors believed a pig and hen tattoo would help them not only survive the strongest of storms, but also allow them to float back safely to their beloved homeland.

Quality very disappointing
I ordered a Navarch ring in black. It arrived scratched, and took me almost a week to get a proper response from customer service. Sadly I’ve been wearing the ring for about a week and it has scratches everywhere. Pig and Hen did send me a replacement ring, but if it also scratches easily then it’s a complete waste, and a waste of $130.

I needed a spare part as I lost the retaining pin but because Pig & Hen only sell complete components their website offers a discount code for people in my situation. Excellent customer service. The part was quickly despatched and arrived within a day. Really impressed!
