Useless
Useless! Puppies didn’t want to use it but for a handful of times and instead preferred to lay down on it. When mixed with a light rain shower it’s rendered totally unusable and smells horrendous. Very heavy to lift. Bought 2 patches with trays for my 2 9 week old puppies but the response from piddle patch which you can see from their other unsatisfied reviews is very patronising and repetitive and highly defensive. Would not recommend. Porch potty is so much easier to use and to clean.

I have TWO piddle patches and trays as they well know for my 2 small 9 week old puppies. They always try to imply the customer is the one at fault for their product not working. Neither puppy was interested in it and peed a handful of times - there was limited rainfall during this time too. They did NOT offer a courier service they told me to go to a pick up point which I cannot do due to being 1 month post op after major abdominal surgery so cannot lift the trays or alternatively for me pay for my own courier which Would be more costly than the refund. I’ve sent photos of the trays to show perfect condition and requested pick up to no avail. I’ve mentioned to PP that their responses are ways defensive, patronising and repetitive whenever they receive a negative review and sure enough they did it again. Would not recommend product and customer service is non existent.

As mentioned via email, Piddle Patch is not designed to be left out in the rain as this will cause excessive liquid in your tray. This has caused your Piddle Patch to need to be drained, and to become heavy to lift and smelly due to the stagnant water sitting in the tray.
We always recommend that you provide your Piddle Patch with some shelter, whether that be an overhead balcony, an awning, a small patio table, or similar, to help prevent too much rain from making its way onto your grass. Piddle Patch is a living product, much like a house plant, so will require some care to ensure that it stays in optimum condition.
As advised, Piddle Patch is also designed to be used by one small to medium-sized dog as a rough guide, and two Bernese Mountain dog puppies may require more than one Piddle Patch per dog or more frequent changes of the grass.
Many dogs will instinctively take to Piddle Patch, whilst others may need some training and time to recognise what Piddle Patch is for and how it should be used. It is fantastic to hear that your puppies were using their Piddle Patch, however, as this means that even on their first encounter with Piddle Patch they recognised the purpose of the grass, clever poochies! Our offer of a discount on your next order and some help and support with toilet training your pups is still available to you if you would like to try again.
We did offer you to return the trays for a refund. We offered to arrange a courier service ourselves or for you to arrange your own courier, whichever was more suitable for you. Unfortunately, as a small business we were not able to grant your request to give you a refund without you returning the trays.
If you change your mind and would like to return your trays for a refund, or if you would like some help, support, and a discount code to try again, then please do not hesitate to reach out.

It really is a life saver for my dog to…
It really is a life saver for my dog to go toilet without having to taking him downstairs outside of his regular walks.
It would be 5 stars but sometimes the sizing of the grass patch is either too small or too big for the metal tray I bought for that grass from piddle patch.

Sometimes your Piddle Patch can be jostled during transit and the grass alters shape and size. There is no need to cut your Piddle Patch grass to fix it. The grass can be pushed back into the tray with your fingers. It fits snugly so that it doesn't move around when in use by your dog. It's also a resilient product and so pushing it in won't harm the grass in any way.
We do our best to ensure that each Piddle Patch is a consistent size, but as it is a living product and is cut by hand, there can be some fluctuations to this. The water content of your Piddle Patch can also cause an impact on the size of your grass.
If you ever find there is a significant difference in the size of your grass then please do not hesitate to reach out to us so we can look into this for you.

This company deserves to succeed not only is their product far superior to others I have had experience of but their customer service is outstanding. Nothing is too much trouble and the speed of the reply to an email amazing. No automated response telling you how important your custom is and they aim to get back to you within 48 hours (theirs is more like 48 mins ! ). If this is the product you are looking for then look no further great product great company

Piddle Patch for puppy pre-vaccines
I used the Piddle Patch for my labrador puppy as I live in an apartment. I used it short-term whilst my puppy was being vaccinated. It was the best thing I bought during the puppy phase. Not only does it save you time and energy constantly cleaning pee pads, but it also helps with toilet training when the puppy is allowed outdoors, as they are familiar with the grass.
The service was great; my order always arrived on time. The tray was a must-have investment too.
All in all, a fantastic product for getting you and your new puppy through the (in my opinion!) worst phase!

Brilliant product for puppy toilet training

Perfect way to toilet train a puppy!Piddle patch always arrives at…
Piddle patch always arrives at beginning of month. Puppy knows where to go for pee and poo every morning. Easiest way to toilet train a puppy and encourage good habits going forward. Delighted with this product.

Wonderful product and amazing customer service. We live in an apartment and wanted something to help with house training. The patch goes on our balcony and Willow our 8 week puppy has been using it since we brought her home. I also have to say how wonderful the communication and customer service has been. Piddle patch perfection
Piddle patch has been perfect for our dog. Living on a top floor flat with a balcony we tried a number of solutions to allow our dog. Artificial grass and puppy pads needed changing so regularly and smelt bad. With piddle patch any wee is absorbed into the core there is no smell and our dog took to it straight away. It lasts us a month and we have a subscription so a new one is delivered to the door. Would highly recommend

As you would expect from a living product, product changes will occur. But after receiving products every week, I think I can judge that well.
One delivery did not go as planned. The box was soaking wet, and the product rolled inside. I sent an email the following day asking what the procedure was. They replied three days after and asked me to send pictures which I have. They responded with a generic email about the water content and sun, even though they didn't even ask how I cared for the product.
Then they said they required customers to let them know within 24 hours; I said I have in less than that (No acknowledgement that they do not have a call centre. They do not respond to emails on weekends the day before).
To cut a long story short, they accepted no faults with the product or their courier. That's just a coincidence. The product is below standards at the same time the product was rolled in the soaking wet box it arrived in.
It must be the customer's fault, subject to whatever procedure they say they have to excuse their responsibility.
My time is more important than going back and forth with email for the fee of the weekly subscription.
Pretty sure with this attitude, they won't last very long, so you might as well get the new pups used to one of their competitor's product.
One word of warning: if you like being patronised, then piddle patch is the best, and you won't find a better company for that.

Just by the reply you can see the company’s attitude. The pictures clearly show the items was deformed. Some bits were thin as paper. Their response reinforced all I said about their service in my review. You must be just a coincidence that my product is faulty this time around at the same week the delivery box was broken and the item rolled. Sure. Oh and by the way, if you had checked your records you would have known that I purchased your silver tray to put the patch in , AND I was also a customer last year during summer months.

Apologies for the delay in our reply to your complaint. We are a small team so we currently do not work weekends, to allow us to have some time off after the working week. All emails are replied to on a Monday morning.
Although your complaint was made within 24 hours of your delivery, we reminded you that we ask for photos to be sent at the time of the complaint, this was not to say that we disregarded your complaint because these were not received within the specified timeframe. This was just a reminder for future reference.
As you mentioned that the issue was present at the time of delivery, the issue could not have been as a result of any care given. I hope this explains why we did not ask you about the care you gave your Piddle Patch.
We also provided you with advice about how to care for your Piddle Patch as we noticed that you had been a bi-weekly customer since April 2023, so you had not yet had a Piddle Patch over the summer months. As Piddle Patch is a living product, the care that you need to give your Piddle Patch during the summer months will be different to that given to your Piddle Patch during less warm weather.
Piddle Patches are sent with a certain amount of water content to ensure that your Piddle Patch arrives to you in optimum condition. It appears that the courier may have been a little rough with your package and this compromised the packaging. We have been in talks with both the courier company and the warehouse to try to ensure that this does not happen again.
Although the box may have been damaged, the Piddle Patch itself is very robust and we could see from the photos sent that the Piddle Patch was not negatively impacted by the damage to the box. The box is for transit purposes only and your Piddle Patch should be taken out of this and placed in a tray for usage.
We asked you to take your Piddle Patch out of the box, flatten it out, provide it with some water, and send us some photos of your Piddle Patch so we could take the next steps if necessary. Unfortunately, we did not hear back from you. We also emailed you a second time to check how things were going with your Piddle Patch, but received no reply.
I am sorry that you were disappointed with your experience on this occasion. If you would like to discuss this further then please do not hesitate to reach out.

The piddle patch was fantastic
The piddle patch was fantastic! We've used them ever since we brought our standard long haired Dachshund home from the breeder.
Due to it, moving to the outside was extremely easy, and as we live in a flat it has been great time saver! Highly recommend!

Don’t waste your money
We bought this for our new puppy and the grass was terrible. As soon as it got slightly wet, it turned to mush. Poor quality and premium price. Very disappointing.
Update: there was no attempt at contact. And no mention of excessive rain impacting the piddle patch.

Excessive rain on your Piddle Patch should be avoided as it can impact lifespan and performance. While the grass will eventually dry, it can take some time, and be a longer process as the weather gets colder.
Providing your grass with some shelter, whether it is from an overhead roof or balcony, or by placing something over top of it, like a small patio table, can help to reduce the amount of water saturating your grass. In this way you can minimise excessive rain from making its way into the grass.
Draining your tray from excess moisture, and wiping it down from time to time, can help the grass to dry faster.
We did try to contact you for more information, but unfortunately, we did not hear back from you. If you would like to discuss this further then please do send us an email so we can look into this further for you.

Impressed
I was impressed with the Piddle Patch - we got our very first puppy at 7 weeks old and we knew we'd have to keep him indoors until his second set of vaccinations. I was shocked at how environmentally unfriendly puppy pads are and the Piddle Patch looked like a great solution.We do have a garden and live near open green space so it was only going to be a limited time thing.
We used the patch in the car when we brought our puppy home - it was a five-hour drive - and he was very happy to use the patch in the boot of the car when we stopped to check on him.
Piddle Patch have a great customer service team too. Highly recommended.

Amazing product
Honestly, they couldn’t have made it easier. Piddle patch is a five star product to potty train pups and also to use when it was pouring outside.
The delivery was excellent- got a new one every week. Our cocker spaniel loved to use it!

Highly recommend Piddle Patch !
Really useful solution for my top floor flat with small balcony - made toilet training my puppy much easier. Also the Piddle Patch grass patches are much less heavy than some of the alternatives available on the market which was important to me as I need to lug it up 4 flights of stairs !
